On this episode of the Zero Limits Podcast, Matty speaks with former WA Police officer and Army reservist Stephanie Bochorsky, recipient of the inaugural National Police Bravery Award in 2018 and the Star of Courage in 2019.

In August 2015, while off duty in Doubleview, Stephanie heard a neighbour screaming for help. She rushed into the home, where a father had set one daughter alight and poured petrol over another. Stephanie extinguished the flames and rescued both girls, putting her own life at risk.

We discuss that night, her policing career and the lasting impact of trauma, including her battle with PTSD and the difficult road to medical retirement.

On this episode of the Zero Limits Podcast Matty Morris sits down with Tom, a former New Zealand SAS operator whose military career spanned East Timor, Afghanistan and counterterrorism operations.

Joining the New Zealand Army in 1999, Tom served with 2/1 RNZIR and deployed twice to East Timor, developing his skills in reconnaissance and combat tracking before passing NZSAS selection in 2002 and being badged in 2003.

During his 2004 Afghanistan deployment, Tom was in Willie Apiata’s vehicle crew during the firefight that led to Apiata being awarded the Victoria Cross. He shares his firsthand account of coming under fire alongside Apiata and their wounded vehicle commander.

Returning to Afghanistan in 2011, Tom served alongside Steve Askin and mentored the Afghan Crisis Response Unit. He was heavily involved in the response to Kabul’s Intercontinental Hotel attack, surviving close-range suicide bomber detonations during the operation. He also responded to the British Council attack, where fellow NZSAS soldier Doug Grant was killed.

On today's Zero Limits Podcast Matt Morris chats with Sam Wride Australian Army 8/9 RAR - PTI - Professional Buhurt Fighter

Sam Wride is a former 8/9 RAR infantryman and Afghanistan veteran (FPE-4, 2015) who went on to work in geospatial intelligence and then as an Army PTI. He started boxing at six. Since 2017 he has become one of the leading names in Australian buhurt (full-contact armoured combat), with national titles and international results in Finland, Germany and the US. He now creates fitness programs and content full-time.

Sam grew up in the country town of Meredith in Victoria. He took up buhurt after leaving the Army and has fought for Melbourne's Kraken and the Brisbane Beasts. Abroad, he went undefeated to win Finland's Heim Cup, placed fourth in the world at Way of Honour in Germany, and finished runner-up in the 12v12 at Carolina Carnage in the US. His GoPro fight footage and livestreams have built a large online following. He uses that platform to share the training and mindset he learned as an infantryman and Army PTI.

On today's Zero Limits Podcast Matt Morris chats with Ben "Benny" Radcliffe, former NSW Police officer and adventurer.

Raised in Lake Macquarie, Benny went to the NSW Police Academy at 18 and attested in 2007. He was posted to Waratah and spent 17 years policing across Newcastle. In his first year he was awarded the Australian Bravery Medal for his actions at a house fire during the 2007 Pasha Bulker floods. He went on to serve in the Target Action Group, work major crime scenes including murders, and serious crime. Behind the scenes he was fighting a serious chronic gut illness that nearly took his life and led him to Germany for treatment, while the trauma of the job built up. After a string of violent incidents and the loss of a colleague, he walked away from the force on his 35th birthday. Since then he has turned to the mountains. He is attempting the "Crown of Europe" and is pushing toward 100 country highpoints, the Seven Summits and the Seven Volcanic Summits, all while raising money for Emerge and See.

On this throwback episode Zero Limits Podcast Matty Morris sat down with Christopher Korfias former Australian Army infantry 2RAR dig and 2nd Commando Regiment operator.

Chris grew up in Sydney with the sights from a young age set on joining the army. In 2003 Chris joined up as a reservist however 18 months later he transferred to the regular army getting posted to the 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and deployed shortly after arriving to Timor Leste in 2006. Chris had his younger brother also serve at 2RAR and is still serving to this day as a CSM. In 2009 Chris completed commando selection and subsequently did two rotations to Afghanistan. On his second deployment to Afghanistan he went as a sniper in which he was involved in heavy kinetic operations.

On today's Zero Limits Podcast Matt Morris chats with Shaun Preston former 3rd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and succesful businessman.

Enlisting in the Australian Army in 2005, he completed his infantry training before being posted to Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). He went on to deploy to Baghdad, Iraq, with SECDET X, supporting the Australian mission in a complex and dangerous environment, before later deploying to Timor-Leste following the 2008 assassination attempts on the country’s leadership. After leaving the Army, he struggled with the transition back into civilian life and bounced between different jobs before finding his way into the pest-control industry. After gaining experience in the trade, he took the gamble of starting his own company, which he spent the next 12 years building into a highly successful business before eventually selling it to global pest-control company.

On today's Zero Limits Podcast Matt Morris chats with Sam Bush former 2nd Commando Regiment operator.

Sam Bush grew up the first-born son on a sheep farm in WA's Stirling Ranges before his family moved to Perth. Sam joined the army and after Kapooka and Singleton he joined 4RAR (Commando), serving in Charlie and Alpha Company and deploying to East Timor in 2001. In early 2002 he passed selection, earned his beret, and posted to the Regiment's Bravo Company.

In Iraq in 2003 Sam ran Combat Search and Rescue for the SASR out of Al Asad, then moved to Baghdad on embassy protection tasks. In 2006 he deployed to Afghanistan with the Special Operations Task Group (SOTG3), seeing action on Op Perth, Op Nile, the Battle of Chora and through the Mirabad Valley, where a rocket attack left him with two fractured vertebrae, damaged discs and nerve damage. He stayed in the field until the job was done.

Medically spent, Sam transitioned out, rebuilt himself in Cairns, and spent 16 years building high-voltage electrical infrastructure with Energy Queensland. Today he's a General Manager in the same field.
