Have you ever loved something so much that you accidentally squeezed the life out of it? Sometimes, that’s exactly what happens with grace. We celebrate the grace God has given us, but somewhere along the way, we begin withholding that same grace from the people around us.

In Matthew 20, Jesus tells a story about a generous landowner whose goodness exposes the entitlement and resentment of those who think they’ve earned more than everyone else.

The truth is simple: We cannot enjoy the grace of God while refusing to extend it to others.

It’s time to stop strangling grace and start making space for it.

You can attend church every Sunday, know all the right words, and still walk out unchanged. In Luke 18, Jesus tells the story of two men who went to the temple to pray. One trusted in his own righteousness. The other cried out for God’s mercy. One left with his pride intact. The other left justified.

The question isn’t simply whether you go to church. It’s whether you’ve truly encountered Jesus Christ.

Attendance is not the same as repentance. A religious resume cannot save you. Only Jesus can.

Don’t settle for having a church. Come to Christ and experience the life-changing grace of being justified by Him.

What do you do when you’ve prayed and nothing seems to change? Jesus tells us to always pray and not lose heart. In a world full of injustice, unanswered questions, and exhausting seasons of waiting, it’s easy to believe prayer is just praying. But prayer is never insignificant when we’re bringing our burdens before the King of Kings.

In Luke 18, Jesus teaches us to trust God’s character when people fail us, stop watching the clock and start watching Jesus, and keep looking for the King who will one day make all things right.

Don’t quit at halftime. Heaven has never lost a case. Keep praying until the King comes.
