  • Stories vs Truths: Is What We Know Just A Story? – Dr. Tina Koopersmith
    2026/02/23
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith In this episode, I explore a question that quietly shapes our health, our beliefs, and our lives: What if much of what we call “truth” is actually just a story we’ve agreed to believe? From Western medicine to ancient wisdom, science to magic, modern life to indigenous ways of living—we’ve been taught to rank ideas as advanced or backward, right or wrong, real or imaginary. But history shows us something humbling: stories change. Science evolves. Beliefs shift. What was once dismissed becomes essential. What was once sacred becomes ignored. Building on a previous conversation about consent, I expand the idea beyond physical touch. We consent every day—to the food we eat, the air we breathe, the words we speak, the stories we absorb, and the beliefs we allow to shape our reality. Breath becomes sound. Sound becomes language. Language becomes biology, energy, and experience. We explore how: Language and belief directly influence health and vitality Western medicine’s successes may owe as much to public health, lifestyle, and community as to technology Ancient practices like breathwork, movement, nature, ritual, and community may hold wisdom we abandoned too quickly Science and “magic” are not opposites—magic is simply what science hasn’t yet explained Shifts in worldview (from geocentric to heliocentric, from Newtonian to quantum physics) radically changed what humans believed was possible I also reflect on how certain dominant stories—especially those that diminished the feminine, intuition, energy, and connection—may have fueled separation, competition, scarcity, and conflict rather than cooperation, abundance, and love. At its core, this episode is an invitation: To loosen our addiction to being right. To stay curious. To recognize how ego rewards certainty—and how wisdom grows when we allow mystery. To remember that direct experience may be closer to truth than inherited belief. Because stories create our reality—but we are always free to experience truth for ourselves. A conversation about language, belief, power, humility, and remembering that healing—personal and collective—begins when we stay open. • The Healing Power Of Words And Breath – Dr. Sandra Amado Medina
    2026/02/16
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith This episode is a love letter to the power of words, breath, and life force. My guest, Sandra Amado, is an integrative family physician with over 15 years of experience who reminds us that healing is never just physical—it’s an intimate conversation between body, mind, spirit, and the language we live inside. Sandra shares her holistic approach to medicine, weaving together traditional family medicine, integrative care, pranic healing®, aromatherapy, and one of her deepest passions: the conscious use of words. She invites us to see ourselves as living instruments—wind instruments, to be exact—where breath becomes sound, sound becomes language, and language becomes medicine… or poison. In this conversation, we explore how life force is more than breath alone. The words we speak, the stories we repeat, and the language we absorb all circulate back into our bodies, influencing our energy, emotions, nervous system, and health. Words, like breath, can energize us and bring us back to aliveness—or quietly drain us, like a slow leak in our internal battery. Sandra also explains how pranic healing® works as a complementary, non-touch biofield therapy, how aromatherapy protocols can support healing on multiple levels, and why awareness and intention are powerful tools available to every human being—right now. This episode is a reminder that healing is not about choosing either medicine or energy, either science or spirit. It’s a YES-AND world. And it starts with listening—to the body, to breath, and to the words we choose to live by. If you’ve ever wondered how language, energy, and medicine intersect—this one’s for you. Sandra Amado Medina, M.D. is a Family Medicine board-certified physician that currently practices medicine in Katy, combining allopathic medicine with integrative therapies. She has completed a fellowship in integrative medicine with AIHM (Academy of Integrative and Holistic Medicine) after graduating from her residency in family medicine with NYMC (New York Medical College). She obtained her medical degree from the University of Sabana in Colombia. She has been interested in learning more regarding other healing techniques and became a pranic healer in 2010. She has been committed to helping the community and participates in multiple healing activities and strives to educate in health and mindfulness to the general public and health care practitioners. https://holisticcarefm.com/en/ What Am I – Children’s Book Author Dr. Tina Koopersmith https://tinakoopersmith.com/what-am-i-childrens-book/ ~ More About Your Healing Playground with Dr. Tina Koopersmith ~ Dr. Tina Koopersmith has practiced Western medicine for over 30 years. • From Survival To Sovereignty: A Healing Journey With Flossie Njama
    2026/02/09
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith From survival to sovereignty. From inflammation to inspiration. Flossie’s story reminds us that where you begin does not determine where you end. Born and raised in Kenya, Flossie grew up without shoes until she was 12, no modern amenities, and with limited access to education, and few visible opportunities. Yet somewhere deep inside, she carried an unshakable knowing — that her life was meant to be more. Through relentless determination, Flossie found her way to the United States and into demanding careers — from the airline industry to nursing — doing whatever it took to create financial stability and security for her family. But the cost of hustle, 5-6 night shifts each week , motherhood and supporting family eventually showed up in her body. A diagnosis of sarcoidosis, an autoimmune inflammatory condition, became a turning point — not a stopping point. Rather than surrendering to a lifetime of medications alone, Flossie redirected the same determination that fueled her success into root-cause reversal. She began exploring natural and holistic modalities alongside conventional care — learning, experimenting, listening to her body, and reclaiming her health. Along the way, she developed simple, accessible wellness practices— mindset and lifestyle change. She also founded a wellness Turmeric tea beverage with anti-inflammatory and pain reduction for her and her community. Today, Flossie empowers audiences with her message of resilience, restoration, and purpose-driven living, guiding others back to simple healthier, sustainable lifestyle shifts and a deep belief in the body’s innate capacity to reverse any unhealthy conditions. Her mission is clear: Shift Your Mindset. Transform a Healthier Lifestyle. Flossie Njama, RN, BSN, is a Critical Care Nurse with 30+ years of experience, bestselling author of Village Vibes, CEO of Simple Life Healthier You LLC, and an NLP Master Trainer. She naturally reversed her autoimmune disease and created the trademarked “Flossie’s Turmeric Tea”, now part of her wellness movement mentor program “GPS to a Healthier You”. She is a finalist of Senior MO pageant 2025 and was awarded the DAR award for community engagement. Featured several times on Fox 2 TV, OWN Your Now Show, Boss Talk LA, Dr Smiley Show and more, Flossie inspires audiences with her message of resilience, restoration, and simple steps to healthier living, and carrying her mission of purpose, giving back to the community. http://www.flossiesturmerictea.com https://www.simplelifehealthieryou.com/ What Am I – Children’s Book Author Dr. Tina Koopersmith https://tinakoopersmith.com/what-am-i-childrens-book/ ~ More About Your Healing Playground with Dr. Tina Koopersmith ~ Dr. Tina Koopersmith has practiced Western medicine for over 30 years. • Remembering The Wonder Woman Within – Guest Char McCreadie
    2026/02/02
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith What if Wonder Woman isn’t a fictional character at all—but a lived identity we each carry inside? This week on Your Healing Playground, we welcome Char McCreadie, whose life journey moves from red-hot determination, through blue-steel discipline, with just enough yellow joy and green healing to remind us what being fully human really means. At 17, Char set her sights on becoming an athlete and a military officer. From the military to medicine, her early life was shaped by rules, structure, service, and achievement—proof that worth was earned through devotion, grit, and relentless forward motion. Like so many of us, she was taught that work was life, and service was success. Then, in her late 20s, her battlefield changed. An unexpected reproductive cancer diagnosis began a nearly two-decade journey of healing—while raising a family, serving full-time in the military, and building early entrepreneurial dreams. Eventually, Char made a radical and courageous realization: life is precious, and work alone is not the point. Play, joy, gratitude, and connection became her medicine. Loving her body—rather than fighting it—helped her heal not only from cancer, but from rigidity, burnout, and disconnection. She rediscovered that life is sweetest when we meet heart to heart, soul to soul, and allow ourselves to dance through it. This episode is an invitation to every woman: To know your inner warrior To honor your strength and your softness To live with joy in your heart and rhythm in your step Because Wonder Woman isn’t imaginary. She’s remembering herself—and so can you. Tune in this week wherever you listen to podcasts. This Overcomer's story takes you on the ride of your life with a lifetime of lessons. Warrior. Fighter. Veteran. Thriving Survivor. Champion. Speaker. Leader. Multi-time Best Selling Author and Mobile Entrepreneur. Char McCreadie served in Desert Shield/Storm and is a 9-11 Pentagon Survivor, and part of the first decade of women to graduate from the US Air Force Academy with an Officer Commission. She also received three Masters Degrees through the US Air Force Institute of Technology Non-resident Program. As the Lead Warrior Woman, Char helps entrepreneurs create greater freedom and success by connecting with their Inner Warrior using her 3-Step Transformational System. Using her diverse background, blended with her real- life warrior experience and healing journey, she offers practical steps to help others live a courageous life in bold humility mixed with humor and fun too! • Consent – What Is It Anyway? – Dr. Tina Koopersmith
    2026/01/26
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith Consent — Can I vs May I?? Most people have a limited version of consent as it relates to physical touch and sexuality. And it's way bigger than that. Physical touch is only one way you are being touched every single moment of every single day. And ideally you are a conscious being of choice and you get to consent to everything that enters your life, your world, your reality. Because every day thoughts, emotions, and energy from others and your environment from your reality are trying to invade your space. Let’s review Bette Martin’s Wheel of Consent: You vs they Give vs receive And how that affects every experience of your life. Are you allowing yourself to be touched for their pleasure or your pleasure? Are you touching another for their pleasure or your pleasure? And remember touch can be a thought, an emotion, and an energetic state, not just physical. So are you consenting to allow the external reality to affect your inner peace— your inner safety? • Breath As The Steering Wheel Of Life With Guest Jonathan Robert
    2026/01/19
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith Breath is life. Breath is safety… or terror. Breath is pleasure… or anxiety. Breath is not just something we do — it is the steering wheel of the nervous system. From our very first inhale to our very last exhale, breath is with us “til death do us part.” It quietly shapes our energy, our emotions, our thoughts, and the way we interpret every circumstance in our lives. And yet, in modern society, most of us are left entirely on our own with this most powerful tool. No teachers. No mentors. No guidance. In earlier civilizations — Native American cultures, yogic lineages, Tantric traditions — the power of breath was known, protected, practiced, and shared. Breath was understood as medicine, as prayer, as a bridge between body and spirit. Today, we are finally remembering what ancient wisdom has always known: breath has the power to heal — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. On this episode of Your Healing Playground, I’m joined by Jonathan Robert, a breath work facilitator, retreat guide, and embodied leadership coach who helps people return to authentic alignment through breath, somatic awareness, song, and lived truth. Jonathan’s journey is as powerful as his work. More than 16 years ago, his life shifted dramatically — from addiction and disconnection in Las Vegas to a path rooted in yoga, embodiment, spirituality, and conscious living. His work bridges lived experience with practical tools for self-regulation, clarity, and conscious creation — helping people shorten the distance between who they are and how they live. In this conversation, we explore: Why breath can instantly shift the nervous system from survival to safety How breath changes perception — not circumstances, but how we experience them The difference between practicing breath alone vs. in guided, communal spaces Why working with skilled facilitators can compress years of healing into minutes How breath reconnects us to embodiment, presence, and lived truth Breath work is free. It is always available. And it is profoundly powerful. But when we work and play with breath in community — guided by those who have walked the path — healing accelerates exponentially. What once took years can unfold in moments. What felt unreachable suddenly becomes embodied and real. This episode is an invitation to remember that your breath is not just keeping you alive — it is guiding you home. Tune in to hear how Jonathan Robert transformed his life — and how breath may be the key to transforming yours. Jonathan Robert is a breath work facilitator, retreat guide, and embodied leadership coach who supports people in returning to authentic alignment through breath, somatic awareness, song and lived truth. • When Healing Listens Instead Of Fixes With Guest Sarah Tacy
    2026/01/12
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith In this episode of Your Healing Playground, I sit down with Sarah Tacy to explore what happens when healing stops being about fixing—and starts being about listening. Sarah shares her powerful personal journey from elite athlete to chronic pain survivor, from treating the body as a tool for performance to discovering it as a wise, no-BS GPS for healing and truth. We talk about the moment pain became her initiation into mind–body healing, the mysterious experiences of spontaneous healing that changed her relationship with energy and touch, and how science, curiosity, and somatic awareness helped her hold both skepticism and wonder. Together, we explore: How the nervous system shapes pain, emotions, identity, and possibility Why safety—not force—is the gateway to healing The role of play, curiosity, and attuned presence in repair and transformation Why community and being accompanied matter just as much as individual practices How motherhood, grief, and transition deepen—not derail—our healing path This conversation is a gentle reminder that healing doesn’t happen through willpower alone. It happens when the body feels safe enough to soften, to explore, and to play. When we slow down, listen deeply, and allow support, wisdom emerges—and the body remembers how to heal. If you’ve ever felt stuck in pain, burnout, anxiety, or self-doubt… If you’ve ever sensed there’s more intelligence in your body than you’ve been taught to trust… This episode invites you back into your Healing Playground—where safety, curiosity, and play make transformation possible. Sarah Tacy is a nervous system specialist and somatic guide for high-achieving women who are done with burnout—but not with ambition. She helps clients move from urgency to choice, from survival patterns to deep self-trust, and into a more human pace where vitality, clarity, and mystery can coexist. For over 20 years Sarah has worked with former Olympians, professional athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, while also guiding professional mind/body certification. She has a masterful understanding of the way the body functions, and how its function impacts how we feel and how we perceive reality. Her work blends neuroscience, somatic healing, and sacred strategy to support women in reclaiming their wholeness. She’s the creator of Resourced a 12 Week nervous system repatterning journey, and host of the Threshold Moments podcast, known for her grounded presence and ability to hold space for what’s real, raw, and ready to rise. Sarah is an evolving mother, wife, and friend. She believes that the body is always speaking to us, and if we can create space and support on as many dimensions as possible, repair and transformation will unfold. https://www.sarahtacy.com/ What Am I – Children’s Book Author Dr. Tina Koopersmith https://tinakoopersmith.com/what-am-i-childrens-book/ ~ More About Your Healing Playground with Dr. Tina Koopersmith ~ Dr. Tina Koopersmith has practiced Western medicine for over 30 years. • Grief Has No Map: Healing Life After Suicide – Guest Dorothy Goulah
    2026/01/05
Your Healing Playground - Dr. Tina Koopersmith Healing is not one-size-fits-all. It never has been. Your Healing Playground exists to remind us that healing comes in many forms, through many paths, and often in ways we never would have chosen—but must learn to walk. This is a YES-AND world, not an either/or one. Western medicine has its place, but healing is bigger than any single modality. And sometimes… healing begins after unimaginable loss. No one plans to lose a loved one to suicide. And grief after suicide carries its own unique weight—shock, confusion, guilt, anger, unanswered questions, and a kind of silence that can feel isolating and overwhelming. In this deeply human episode, Dr. Tina is joined by Dorothy Goulah, a life coach, grief educator, mentor, and bridge-builder who helps others navigate life after suicide loss. Dorothy is herself a survivor of a family member’s suicide—an experience that forever altered her life’s path. Years ago, when mental health conversations were far less open than they are today, Dorothy had to find her own way through grief. As an actress and model, she learned to inhabit many roles—perhaps part of her own healing journey. Later in life, she returned to school, defying age-based expectations, becoming the first in her family to graduate college and earning advanced degrees after her children were grown. Dorothy teaches not just from textbooks—but from lived experience, wisdom earned through pain, resilience, and courage. In this conversation, we explore: The unique grief that follows suicide loss Why healing after suicide looks different for everyone How we make meaning when a life ends by choice How play, creativity, and embodiment can coexist with grief How someone becomes a bridge for others after walking through darkness What it means to keep choosing life after loss This episode does not offer easy answers—because there aren’t any. But it offers presence, compassion, permission, and hope. Because even after devastation, healing is possible. And sometimes, those who have suffered the most become the greatest guides. Dorothy Goulah, after a successful 35-year career as a model and actress, it was time for a change and Dorothy became the first person in her extended family to attend college. Dorothy’s academic career began in the field of Sociology at Valley College where she was inspired to continue her studies at California State University at Northridge earning her bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2016. With the encouragement of supportive professors, Dorothy applied to and was accepted into the master’s degree program in sociology at CSUN. The graduate program challenged and broadened Dorothy’s interests and abilities fulfilling her lifelong desire to be an academic. Dorothy’s auto-ethnographic essay, titled “Suicide Years in the Making”, was published in peer-reviewed journal Qualitative Inquiry in 2020. Dorothy was awarded top honors in the Distinguished Thesis/Graduate Project Competition for her research titled, “Suicide Loss Survivors: Navigating Social Stigma”, which was published as “Suicide Loss Survivors: Navigating Social Stigma and Threats to Social Bonds” in peer-reviewed journal OMEGA: Journal of Death and Dying, in 2021. Dorothy is a facilitator at Solace, a peer-led support group for survivors of suicide loss and is coordinator for greater Los Angeles and central California of Healing Conversations, a program providing one-on-one support to suicide loss survivors through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention where she is chair of the board for the Greater Los Angeles and Central Coast chapter. Dorothy is also a certified former crisis responder for the City of LA Mayor’s Office, responding to sudden and traumatic death scenes to support survivors, until recently was a certified mediator with the Centinela Youth Services restorative justice team, and is a certified grief educator and life coach. dorothygoulah.com What Am I – Children’s Book Author Dr. Tina Koopersmith https://tinakoopersmith.com/what-am-i-childrens-book/ ~ More About Your Healing Playground with Dr. Tina Koopersmith ~ Dr. Tina Koopersmith has practiced Western medicine for over 30 years.
