Four Wright State athletes and coaches are making history by stepping onto NCAA committees for the 2026-27 academic year—two coaches and two student-athletes representing the Raiders and Horizon League in shaping the future of college sports. Coach Clint Sargent joins the Men’s Basketball Rules Subcommittee, while Coach Alex Sogard takes on the Baseball Rules Subcommittee, both working to refine game integrity. Student-athlete Jahi McDonald will advocate for athletes on the Student-Athlete Advocacy Committee and oversee track & field/cross-country rules, while Kellen Pickett brings athlete voices to the Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete Engagement Group. Their involvement signals a powerful commitment to influencing policies that impact every level of collegiate athletics—from the court to the track—and ensures student-athletes remain at the heart of decision-making.
