    In this episode, Joyce shares how she overcame the doubtful voices in her head and decided to finish her book after years of accumulating stories of her life-loving authentic father.


    In her book, “Look Back, Don’t Stare”, she preserves the memories of her dad growing up as a first generation Scottish person growing up in Pawtucket, RI raised by his aunt and uncle. The title is an hommage to looking back on your upbringing, learning from it, and moving forward.


    Aside from being a newly published author, Joyce talks about her experience living in her car and playing pool with celebrities as a young adult in LA.

    One day in the spring I had a feeling to call Jennifra at Chatham Yoga to see if she was looking for any substitute teachers for lighthouse beach yoga. That phone call not only lead to a summer of teaching yoga on the beach, but a friendship with a very cool lady.


    In our interview, Jennifra speaks about her life with an open heart. She is honest and vulnerable about her hesitation about letting love in, about finding her calling, losing her husband, and finding love again.
