Brian is a diehard whitetail hunter from central Wisconsin who spends more time scouting and burning boot leather to find big deer than just about anyone. In this conversation, the guys discuss how his post-season scouting transitions into pre-season scouting, a recap of his Illinois hill country hunt last fall and things that translated from that hunt to back home, mature buck bedding and how big deer put terrain between you and them, striking a balance between scouting and trail cameras, late-season tactics, and tons more!

Alaina is a Wisconsin-native and serves as the Wildlife Biologist for Vilas County. In this episode, Alaina shares her background studying bears, turkeys, and upland birds, what a year looks like for a black bear, and a black bear researcher in Wisconsin, how bears food sources change, and hibernation habits. After that she discusses pros and cons of hunting bears with dogs, over bait, or a combination of the two, how to care for the meat and hide, and common misconceptions folks have about bears.
