Hey listeners,
I don't know about you all, but we were told how our lives should go. Chapter 1 was go to church, Chapter 2 was go to school, Chapter 3 was build a family. But who's in charge of our outline? Our families have their own opinions and beliefs about everything, but it's time we figured out how to write our own stories without the pressure of other people's expectations.
In part 1 of this episode, we get into family patterns, including generational trauma and how that impacts us and the roles we take on as children and later as adults. The blueprint we were given by our families didn't teach us HOW to process our emotions or repair conflict. By rewriting our stories, we get to decide how to heal from the ruptures and conflict, and how to start the next chapter.
Stay tuned for part two, where we discuss what can and can't be repaired, and how to navigate that as adults who are rewriting our stories to become the main character we want to be and what blueprint we want to pass on to future generations.
