Good morning Lehi and welcome to your latest local update for Wednesday, October 22, 2025. This past 24 hours in Lehi have been wet and a little bit wild weather-wise. According to Time and Date, rain showers moved through overnight and this morning with humidity hovering around 50 percent and steady temperatures in the mid-50s. It was a damp walk to school with drizzle at sunrise and overcast skies set to hang around most of today. The forecast calls for rain showers off and on with a few rolling thunderstorms expected through midafternoon. Highs will only reach about 55 degrees, so listeners, don’t forget a jacket and maybe those waterproof boots.

On the allergen front, Weather Underground has the pollen count registering as moderate for tree and weed pollen, so those with sensitive noses may notice a little itch, but it should be tolerable for most. Air quality is rated good in Lehi, so deep breaths are safe as you dash between the raindrops.

The high school sports scene has been heating up despite the rain. Lehi High football took on American Fork last night in a close game under slick conditions. American Fork clinched it in the fourth quarter with a late touchdown, edging Lehi 28 to 24 in a game that came down to the wire and kept fans on the edge of their seats to the very last play. Girls volleyball swept Westlake, three sets to one, with standout performances by senior captain Ella Johnson who dominated at the net.

Last night’s main community headline has been ballot confusion as Utah County experiences last-minute issues with voter instructions just two weeks before Election Day. KSL reports that local officials are working quickly to clarify procedures and ensure every voice is heard this November.

Stargazers, tonight’s skies might clear just enough to catch a glimpse of what KSL is calling the best comet of 2025. Find a break in the clouds after 10 pm and look to the northeast.
