  • We Outside
    2026/07/27

So, Ryan announced our August break live on air before Joyhdae could ease into it. No warning. No transition. Just "I don't know what you're doing, but I'm taking a break in August, thanks." Dropped it on us like a Flex bomb. Anyway. The streets is calling and both Virgos are answering. The hoochie daddy shorts are in effect, the cocoa butter is on the knees, and this man discovered fabric scissors and has been cropping every shirt he owns since.
Somewhere between chaos and clarity, that's where Virgo Season lives. We’re not leaving y'all empty handed. Here's one more before we go outside. See y'all in actual Virgo season.

    Segment Breakdown
Outside Is Calling (The Break Announcement)
Ryan told y'all before he told me. We're gone for August. Fabric scissors, gym selfies, and one man's midlife niceness are all involved.
Sock Sock Shoe Shoe (Round 47)
The longest running debate on this show returns. Ryan is still convinced Joyhdae's method is evidence of serial killer tendencies. Toilet paper direction also got dragged into it.
    Am I The Asshole
Grief, family, and one decision that split an entire household. Both of us had to sit with this one. We're not spoiling it here.
19 Million Eggs And A $2 Gift Card
Egg recall, garlic powder recall, glass in the bread, and a federal food safety system running on fumes. The company caught the salmonella themselves. Sit with that.
Sherlock: Your Face Is Now A Password You Can't Change
Facial recognition search apps, biometric privacy, Meta glasses, and why nobody can opt out. Also a full segment on what y'all are posting about your kids.
Amanda Seales vs The Insecure Tour
Ten year anniversary, thirteen dates, one name missing from the flyer. Is it mean girl energy or is it just ownership?
    LeBron To The Sixers
36 combined All-Star selections on one floor. A whole governor declared a holiday. Ryan says Knicks in five anyway.
    Ryan Clark Fired Mid-Broadcast
He went to commercial break and never came back. We unpack the layoffs, the Pivot of it all, and why the timing looks the way it looks.
Dad Jokes vs Auntie Jokes: Unhinged Edition
No next week means no rationing. We emptied the whole clip.

    Drop it in the comments:

If you've ever checked an egg carton code, argued about sock order, been left off a group invite, or watched somebody get fired in real time, this one is for you.

    • Are you sock sock shoe shoe or are you wrong?
    • Should Amanda have been on that flyer?
    • Are the Sixers actually contending or is that a Philly hallucination?

  • Meat & Greet
    2026/07/20

Somewhere between a Yankee Stadium spiritual awakening and a nationwide lettuce crisis, we recorded this episode. And listen, the writers of America The Soap Opera did NOT take the week off.
Joyhdae and Ryan are still floating from JAŸ-Z's three night residency at Yankee Stadium (yes, both of us went, no, we are not okay), Ryan is child-free and barely knows what week it is, and somehow we still delivered. There's death. There's mystery. There's a parasite. There's a scam. There's HOV. That's not a teaser, that's the actual rundown.
Also Natalie sent a voice note. On the work phone. Ryan has thoughts.

    Segment Breakdown
AITA: Wine at the Kids' Table
A solo traveler in Tenerife, a family of five with opinions, and a glass of wine that mysteriously disappears. What she orders next is the reason we can never say we're the bigger person. We give our honest takes and reveal exactly how petty each of us would have been. (Spoiler: very.)
Lindsey Graham Is Gone... and Where Is Mitch?
Senator Lindsey Graham died suddenly at 71, and the internet showed exactly zero grace. Meanwhile the Mitch McConnell conspiracy theories are conspiracy-ing, because y'all really thought one AI-looking photo was gonna hold us over? Somebody go do a welfare check.
The Lettuce Situation (Cyclospora Outbreak 2026)
The worst cyclospora outbreak on record, 7,000 cases and counting, and nobody can tell us where it's coming from because somebody pulled the research. We talk salads, spinach supremacy, and why Joyhdae hasn't touched a tomato since the Bush administration.
Boosie Paid $600K For a Pardon That Never Existed
Two convicted felons told Boosie Badazz they had Trump on speed dial. They did not. We discuss the scam, the typo-filled contract, and why our sympathy is currently unavailable. Please leave a message.
    Leave KevOnStage Alone
It's the third time this year y'all have been mad at this man, and this round might be the silliest one yet. We get into church folk, shame culture, and why the pastor who stays in a scandal gets more grace than a comedian being honest.
HOV Did That: JAŸ-Z’s Yankee Stadium Residency
Three nights. Three completely different shows. Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and an extra innings finale that started after midnight and ended with fireworks at 2:45 AM on a work night. Blue Ivy on the keys, Eminem out the cave, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and enough Easter eggs to keep the internet busy until next summer. We were both in the building and we are STILL not over it.
    Dad vs Auntie Jokes
Shout out to Hudson. That's all we're legally allowed to say. The punchlines stay in the episode.

    Drop It:

If you're still recovering from the JAŸ-Z weekend, if you've side-eyed a salad this month, or if you've ever been told "words mean things" in a group chat, this episode is for you.

    • How petty would YOU have been at that Tenerife dinner table?
    • Do you actually believe Mitch McConnell is okay?
    • Which night of the JAŸ-Z residency was the best? (There's a correct answer—Ryan is wrong)

    2026/07/13

Somebody check on Joyhdae because Hov weekend has her heart rate at concert levels and the episode hasn’t even started.
But before the celebration, we go where the culture needs us to go. This week we sit with the story of Nolan Wells, the 18-year-old Mississippi athlete who went on a boat trip with his friends and never came home. His phone was on the boat. His data was wiped. His friends left without him. We talk about what this story triggers for Black parents, why “we come together, we leave together” is a survival rule and not a vibe, and Ryan gets real about the moment he became OhBlackRyan.
Then the chaos arrives on schedule. Big Tigger’s household is a whole Tyler Perry pilot. SZA joins the neurospicy club (welcome, sister). Beyoncé dropped Morning Dew on the 4th of July and started a 60-day countdown that has us adjusting our savings accounts. And Jay-Z is throwing himself a three-night extravaganza at Yankee Stadium, which means outfit deliberations, pop-up temptations, and guest appearance predictions.
Plus: we finally break down The Polygamist. Spoilers included. Franklin the Turtle slander included. Ryan watched 11 episodes of a show he calls garbage. Make it make sense.

    Segment Breakdown

    Am I the Asshole?
A 43-year-old traveling man, a single mom of two, six years, zero kid meetings. Joyhdae and Ryan land in very different places. The gavel gets banged.
    Justice for Nolan
The Nolan Wells case, what doesn’t add up, and the conversation Black parents can’t avoid. Handled with care, but handled honestly.
    The Big Tigger Situation
Domestic charges, a defamation lawsuit, a kidnapping arrest on I-85. Every week a new episode of As the World Turns. Mr. Tigga, please.
    Morning Dew Season
Beyoncé re-recorded a leaked demo, set a countdown to September 4th, and we are financially bracing ourselves. Act III? B’Day 20? Something’s coming.
    Hov Weekend Loading
Yankee Stadium. Three nights. Two hosts on two different days (Joyhdae fumbled a bag, allegedly). Knicks jerseys, Timbs on standby, and guest predictions.
    The Polygamist (Full Spoilers)
22 episodes of beautifully packaged trash. We knew who did it. We watched anyway. Jonas deserved worse.
    Dad vs Auntie Jokes
Submissions from the Framily this week, including one so dark Joyhdae needed a moment. The grand finale left her in actual tears.

    Drop it in the comments:

If you’re going to Hov weekend, if you’ve ever had “the talk” with your kids, or if a trash Netflix show has ever had you in a chokehold at 2am, this episode is for you.

We barely survived a heat wave, a hologram, and a Facebook group full of accidentally colonized racists. We survived a heat wave, a hologram, and a Facebook group full of accidentally colonized racists. Ryan spent half the episode sweating. Somebody get us some water. This week Joyhdae and Ryan are melting through the hottest week of the summer and somehow that’s the least unhinged part of the episode. Ryan just got back from the Left Coast with a new tattoo, a Liberty championship to brag about, and zero patience for Trump telling a crowd he “spoke to” Theodore Roosevelt, forgetting the man has been dead since 1919 and that he was actually talking to a hologram. A group of racists made a Facebook page called White and Proud, forgot to set it to private, and Black Twitter has moved in permanently. Young Miami’s “Spend That” has India Arie and Nicki Gilbert big mad, and Ryan’s out here defending it as the unofficial song of the summer while Joyhdae builds out a whole thesis on duality. Druski hosted the BET Awards and cooked, but Ryan has real questions about who’s actually running the show since the Paramount buyout. Plus a fake Janet Jackson AI video has Ryan on the verge of losing to the algorithm, Joyhdae is begging him and his wife to watch a South African telenovela immediately, and this week’s AITA has a man refusing to lend his girlfriend of four years money for college without a legal agreement, a case Ryan and Joyhdae land on very differently.

    Segment Breakdown

    Am I the Asshole?
A man, his girlfriend, and a debt repayment agreement. Ryan says leave the relationship. Joyhdae says leave the man.
Ryan’s Left Coast Recap and the Liberty Win
New ink, a Commissioner’s Cup, and Ryan defending the WNBA’s honor before they even get into the news.
America’s Birthday Flop and the Roosevelt Hologram
An empty fairground, a gold eagle, and Ryan saying he has to laugh to keep from crying.
White and Proud (and Fully Compromised)
A racist Facebook group forgot how privacy settings work. The results speak for themselves.
    Young Miami’s “Spend Dat” Discourse
India Arie has thoughts. Nicki Gilbert has more thoughts. Ryan’s fully on the song’s side and Joyhdae has a whole sermon about it.
    BET Awards: Druski’s Reign
The youngest host in BET history took over the ceiling and got the best ratings in years. Ryan’s got real questions about who’s cutting the checks now.
AI Is Coming for Your Common Sense
A fake Janet Jackson video is making the rounds and Joyhdae is trying, and failing, to save Ryan from the AI apocalypse.
    The Polygamist Preview
Joyhdae finished a South African telenovela in two days and needs Ryan and his wife to catch up immediately.
    Dad Jokes, Still Undefeated
They came back for round two and somehow got cornier.

    Drop it in the comments:

If you’ve ever lost track of what year it is, questioned whether your president is okay, or found yourself somehow rooting for a Facebook group of racists to keep posting, this episode is for you.

    2026/06/29

Recording at the butt ass of midnight. Ryan's catching a flight in a few hours. Joyhdae's on Cutwater. And somehow this is one of the most substantive episodes we've done.
We covered a LOT. A sister who bit the hand that was funding her honeymoon and got exactly what she deserved. YG dropped a six-minute song called "Tiffany" that split the internet clean in half -- and we actually sat with why the framing matters and not just whether it "slaps." A JPMorgan executive lost her six-figure job over a Knicks parade trash can (and brought it home on the subway, juices and all). Nine-year-old Young Roddo is going viral -- but the conversation shifted when his second song dropped and it wasn't about school anymore. And Jay-Z celebrated 30 years of Reasonable Doubt like only Jay-Z can: free Brooklyn pop-ups, a Yankee Stadium takeover, fireworks over the Hudson, and a limited library card that has Joyhdae considering going to Brooklyn willingly.
Oh, and Beyonce dropped a Cecred vlog that had us in our feelings -- and low-key reminded everyone why you don't come for the Carters.

    Segment Breakdown

AITA: The Honeymoon That Got Rescinded
She paid the "practice child" tax. Her sister disrespected her at every turn, assumed the money was guaranteed, and found out the hard way that Virgos have a latch on that switch. The $5,000 went bye bye. And Joyhdae had words for the parents too.
YG "Tiffany" -- The Song Nobody's Ready to Talk About Right
Six minutes. A trans woman. A man named Chris. And a conversation that the internet is having loudly and mostly badly. Ryan and Joyhdae don't duck it -- they go into the real question: what does it mean when the framing of a story is the harm, even if the ending isn't?
    The JPMorgan Trash Can Chronicles
Angie Baez. 40 years old. Executive Director. Knicks gear. One commemorative trash can. A subway ride home. And a termination letter. We understand the energy. We do not understand the decision-making.
Young Roddo and the Age-Appropriate Music Conversation
He's nine. He's from Chicago. Benny Blanco and Brent Faiyaz are in his comments. And Ryan and Joyhdae have thoughts about what happens when the internet catches a child and the parents let it run. Plus: why don't kids have options anymore?
Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt at 30 -- Your Fave Could Never
Free pop-ups in Dumbo. Archival footage. The actual Lexus from the Dead Presidents video. A Brooklyn library card. Three sold-out nights at Yankee Stadium. Fireworks over the Hudson. And not a single new album in sight. We need y'all to study this.
The Blueprint: Beyonce, Blue Ivy, and Eight Years of Locs
Jay grew his hair out because his five-year-old told him she didn't feel confident about hers. Eight years later, Blue's hair is down her back and her passport is stamped. Beyonce filmed the whole loc removal for Cecred and casually ended the conversation about that man's hair. Nicki Minaj is somewhere quiet.

    Drop it in the comments:

If you've ever questioned your taste in music, lost a job over a moment of chaos, or just needed someone to explain why Jay-Z is built different -- this one's for you.
    Drop a comment:

    • Was YG's "Tiffany" brave storytelling or harmful framing?
    • Should Young Roddo's parents pump the brakes?
    • And do you agree that your fave could never?

  • Cutting Up
    2026/06/22

Cutwater got Joyhdae sweating, the Knicks are world champions, and somehow we still found time to argue about bathroom etiquette, JAŸ-Z’s vinyl, and a $200k check that bounced. Welcome to the most New York episode we have ever recorded.
Somewhere between chaos and clarity, that is where Virgo Season lives.

    Segment Breakdown

    Am I the Asshole?
This one had Joyhdae picking a side fast and she is not backing down. You have to hear the full thing to get it.
    Knicks Are Champions
53 years in the making. A parade Ryan watched from his couch with a bad back and zero regrets. We get into Jalen Brunson, the Bill Russell Trophy, and why a certain Spurs player is now public enemy number one.
    JAŸ-Z and the Target Discourse
Threads has had this conversation on lock for over a month and Joyhdae is done with it. A breakdown of what is actually an exclusive and what is just internet hive mind.
    Floyd Mayweather’s Bounced Check
A billion dollar boxer, a $200k watch, and a check that did not clear. We get into how you go from that much money to felony charges over a luxury purchase.
    The Bathroom Debacle
A dad, his daughters, a gas station, and a 911 call that ended a man’s career. We unpack who was actually in the wrong here.
    DC Landmarks: Two Headaches
A judge orders one name removed from a building and a man is still talking about a promenade nobody asked for.
    Obama Center Opens
11 years in the making and it finally opened on Juneteenth. The performers, Michelle’s speech, and why George Bush keeps winning by comparison.
    Chlöe x Timbaland
A new project, a hero collaboration, and two people who clearly needed this to work out better than it did.
    Dad Jokes Are Back
Cursors, chickpeas, and one joke Joyhdae almost did not let herself tell. Commitment over regret, as always.

    Drop it in the comments:

If you have ever fallen in the street and made a sound, if you have an opinion about Target and vinyl, or if you are still riding the high of a Knicks championship, this episode is for you.
    Drop a comment:

    • Are you Team Joyhdae on this week’s AITA, or is she wrong this time?

  • Knicks in 5
    2026/06/15

We called it. Before tip off, before Game 5, before any of it. Joyhdae opened this episode with a freestyle. A prediction. "Knicks and what? Five." Ryan closed the whole thing out with a dad joke about the same exact thing. And now we have to sit here knowing we were right the entire time.
This was a pure vibes episode. No research. No prep. Just wine, a Caribbean This or That that almost started a family feud, and a championship prediction that came true less than 24 hours later. Jalen Brunson dropped 45 points, the Knicks closed it out in San Antonio, and New York has its first title since 1973. We are professionals now. Put it on our resumes.

    Segment Breakdown

    This or That: Caribbean Edition
All inclusive resort or local rental. Jerk chicken or stew chicken. Coconut water or cane juice. Then roti versus doubles turned into a full Guyanese versus Trinidadian food debate that Ryan says he will fight his own family over. Sorrel versus Malta got personal too. Somebody also brought up oxtail pizza. That should not have happened.
    Am I Overreacting
A woman's fiance just told her his family spent eleven months secretly testing her to make sure she wasn't a gold digger. He thinks this is good news. She does not. We have a ring opinion and we are saying it with our whole chest.
    The JAŸ-Z Conversation
Jay-Z's Roots Picnic freestyle is still living in everybody's head, including Bobby Shmurda's apparently. Joyhdae has thoughts about who has actually earned the right to have an opinion here, and Dame Dash gets named even though nobody called him.
    Stephen A. Versus the President
The Knicks lost a game, Stephen A. Smith pointed a finger at a very famous attendee for disrupting the mojo, and that man did not take it well. We have questions about who actually wins this one.
    Knicks in 5!
The freestyle, the Game 4 comeback for the history books, the parade timeline speculation, and why New York currently feels like a different city. Lady Liberty better be ready.
Dad vs Auntie Jokes: Pride Month Edition
Joyhdae brought one home for Pride Month and for once, somehow, it was the wholesome one.

    Drop it in the comments:

If you have ever made a prediction confidently enough that it scared you when it came true, if your family has Caribbean food beef and you've already picked a side, or if you just want to process a 53 year championship drought ending with people who get it, this one's for you. You don't want to miss what's next, because apparently we're calling championships now...Tell us: What's your favorite Caribbean dish?

A mother-in-law turned the honeymoon into a crime scene. The Knicks are going to the Finals. And Kevin Hart decided to die on the hill of Tony Hinchcliffe. This episode had no chill from the jump.

This week’s AITA has a title that’ll stop you mid-scroll — and the full story is even wilder. Ray J stepped into an MMA cage allegedly weeks after a heart scare, got knocked out in round two, and somehow nobody is surprised. Ryan is emotionally consumed by the Knicks making the Finals for the first time since 1999 — and the fact that a certain orange man just RSVP’d to Madison Square Garden. Cardi B followed every dollar Tasha K tried to hide and is now coming for the husband too. Kevin Hart went on the Breakfast Club and defended Tony Hinchcliffe, and Joyhdae had things to say. A lot of things. And Keke Palmer had Sean Evans on her podcast — and that man came in prepared, smooth, and completely smitten.

Somewhere between chaos and clarity — that’s where Virgo Season lives.

    Segment Breakdown

    AITA: The Honeymoon Condoms
She just got married. They had a plan. His mother had a different plan — and she used the honeymoon to execute it. The title alone will have you screaming.
Ray J: Clout Is A Drug
Reportedly months from a heart condition. Got into a rigged MMA fight anyway. Got knocked out. Checked into a Vegas hospital. Ryan has zero sympathy and a list of alternative career options that didn’t involve this.
The Knicks Are Going To The Finals (But Trump Got Invited)
First time since 1999. Ryan has been waiting 27 years for this moment. Then Jim Dolan extended an invitation to the White House. Mitchell Robinson’s pinky finger is already paying the price. Joyhdae has a warning about the Trump curse and Ryan just needs everybody to stay focused.
Cardi B vs. Tasha K: She’s Coming For The Husband Now
Tasha violated her non-disparagement clause more than two dozen times. Her husband admitted under oath he helped hide the assets. Cardi filed a federal civil lawsuit. Your GoFundMe donations will not save her.
    Kevin Hart & Tony Hinchcliffe
He went on the Breakfast Club and defended the man who made a George Floyd joke at his roast. Called it “not tasteful but not shocking.” Joyhdae has a full assessment of both men. Ryan is disappointed in the way that cuts deeper than anger.
    Keke Palmer & Sean Evans
He showed up to her podcast with a full roster of smooth, knowing her entire career, ready to co-host a morning show, and calling her future in-laws “us.” The internet is shipping it. Joyhdae and Ryan have thoughts. Keke, girl — give the Taurus a chance.
    Dad vs. Auntie Jokes
Ginger snapped. The boat was for sale. Ryan’s allergies almost took the whole outro down with them.
