  • 037 - Small & Close: How the Death of Charlie Kirk Impacts Your Brain, Body, and Soul
    2025/09/16

You were never designed to carry the weight of the world. And the good news is that you don't have to.

Social media and the progress of technology has allowed us to experience extremely traumatic events daily that our brains were never designed to experience consistently at that level. Many war-torn military personnel have experienced trauma at a consistent level for a brief time and suffer from PTSD for a lifetime from that exposure. We subject ourselves to the same traumas daily and expect to walk away unscathed.

Then we wonder why we're always stressed, unhealthy, self-medicating, and angry at everyone and everything that disagrees with our perspective.

It's time for a shift, and we can follow the pattern of Jesus to keep us safe, stable, and focused on making a difference in this world while enjoying the full and beautiful life He came to give us.

  • 036 - Your Body & Your Faith: Your Body Tells the Story of Your Faith
    2025/09/05

We all have been formed by things that have been said to us, done to us, or done around us. It's part of being human. Every event that has had an impact on our lives, whether positive or negative, is a type of trauma by definition. The Bible teaches us to come out of the conformity that we've experienced in the world to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Our bodies tell the stories of our trauma. We often use our faith to caveat those stories, but our faith can actually rewire those stories in our brain so that they are now used for God's purpose. We have to recognize those traumas, discover the lie those traumas made us believe about ourselves, declare the truth about what God says about about us, and develop daily habits that align with that truth.

Your faith cannot be separated from your body. It's all integrated, and it's all connected.

  • 035 - First & Foremost: The Presence of God is the Key to Your Blessing
    2025/08/25

I want to be blessed. Not like normal blessed. Supernaturally blessed. I want to be blessed so that all the people around me know that I'm blessed - I want that level of blessing. You know what I mean? Of course you do, because you want it too.

I was sitting in church when I read 2 verses in the middle of a larger narrative that made me zone out of the sermon for a good 15-20 minutes. The verses were 2 Samuel 6:11-12. I zoned out, because I preached a whole message to myself about those 2 verses. They struck me so hard that I want to share them with you today, and they're all about someone who was blessed in the way that we want to be blessed.
