Are you a Vacation planner or a follower?! Which Disney character are you? Too hot to have PMS, right?! Plus, Candice goes to Disney for the first time with her family and Sarah calls a Family Member to give her all great tips for Disney World! That's right - we call Sarah sister - in - law Janice to share with us everything you need to know about Disney Parks, Lighting Lanes, Fireworks and those fancy bracelets!
Incase you missed it - Here's Janice's Disney world top 10 Tips for Survival!
PS - They pump happiness into this place, I don’t know how but they do it!
- Staying on property, that’s AMAZING, prioritize IMO going back and enjoying the
pool. Everyone does so much better with a break and being on property you get
to take advantage of the transportation, monorail, buses you name it.
- DO NOT MISS THE FIREWORKS. Plan for one night to really immerse yourself
in the show. We never sat for hours to get a good seat, but we have watched the
show from several angles, next to the castle to the right, in the center of all of the
humanity almost directly center, and once at the top of main street. I can’t
honestly tell you which position was better, just don’t miss it. Its amazing, you’ll
be singing and probably crying holding your kiddos. Grab some popcorn and a
mickey chocolate ice cream and take it all in.
- Think about your meals, but don’t stress on it. There is food everywhere
throughout the park and I wouldn’t stress about reservations, etc… depending on
who you are with, you can eat on the go or if you really want that sit down
experience plan it but I would try not to stress. In our family, everyone just wants
to go on rides and see things, they are not concerned with a sit down dinner.
- Buy the lightning lane multi-pass. It’s a bit confusing and we can have another
podcast on how to use it, but its worth the extra money. You can ride on the rides
pretty much all day with it and you feel like you are an all-star breezing through
the lighting lane lines.
- If your kids love to jump in puddles pack extra socks… they do sell them in the
park but it can be a B to find them.
- Depending on ages, get a stroller, its so nice to be able to not carry as much and
shove things into the stroller
- Going through security, pack less bags and just have things to take out of the
stroller, they have to go through all of the bags so you’ll save time this way.
Nothing metal, they’ll get you a pat down!
- If you are driving in, the ferry seems to be faster than the monorail
- I don’t think the hopper pass is needed, its pricey and we struggle to get
everyone in, in one park let alone hopping around.
- If you have younger kids, Epcot after 5pm on the country side, is NOT where you
want to be. There are many grown adults enjoying themselves and we have
tended to just get annoyed with them and their language around our younger
kids.
- If you haven’t seen Mickey on main street do stop! He’s the best one!
