  • Unwined: Exploring the beauty of Alto Adige and the story behind one of its most distinctive wineries
    2025/12/06

Today on Unwined, Mandi has got a packed, delicious lineup for you, starting with her Wines of the Week — the best bottles to bring as host gifts this holiday season. Then you'll travel to Burgundy with Dimitri Bazas from Maison Champy, the oldest négociant house in the region, who’ll share the incredible history of the winery and what truly makes a Pinot Noir both approachable and elegant.

After that, we chat with Daniel Lomonto from Bossa — the man behind Montreal’s most addictive sandwiches — to hear how his idea turned into a phenomenon and what exciting new location is on the way. And finally, we head to the mountains of northern Italy, where Claus Drescher from Peter Zemmer will join us from Europe to explore the beauty of Alto Adige and the story behind one of its most distinctive wineries.

  • Unwined: Flavour, Travel, and incredible stories
    2025/11/29

We’ve got a packed show full of flavour, travel, and incredible stories from the world of wine. I’m sharing my Wines of the Week—bottles that punch way above their price point and are perfect for sipping as we ease into the season.

I’m also excited to announce that I’m hosting a luxury food and wine tour in Portugal this July. Think sun-soaked vineyards, Michelin-level meals, historic cellars, and the kind of insider access you can only get when you travel with someone who knows the country glass-by-glass. If Portugal is on your bucket list, this is the way to do it.

Plus, three incredible guests join me today: Ana María Cumsille from Viña Carmen in Chile — we’re talking heritage, innovation, and what makes Carmen one of the most dynamic wineries in South America.

Francesco Vitulli from Cecchi — bringing the heart of Tuscany to our studio, with stories of Sangiovese, family legacy, and what’s new in Chianti Classico.

Federico Vázquez from Monte Real in Spain — sharing the modern face of Rioja and how Monte Real is capturing elegance, freshness, and true identity.

  • Unwined: Keeping things affordable, delicious, and festive
    2025/11/22

Today on Unwined with Mandi, we’re keeping things affordable, delicious, and festive. I’m starting with my Wines of the Week, all from Alentejo — a region in Portugal known for generous, approachable wines that deliver amazing quality for the price.

Then we shift into holiday mode with the panettone from Elena, we speak to baker Mayara Palma Martin and co-owner of Gia Vin and Grill Lawrence Fiset— a true labour of love that has become one of Montreal’s favourite seasonal traditions.

And finally, we’re heading to Barolo with Gabriele Oderda from Arnaldo Rivera, a co-operative winery built on community, inclusivity, and the stories of the families who have cared for their vineyards for generations. We’ll talk about their philosophy, their growers, and their beautifully expressive and quality-driven Barolo.

  • Unwined with Mandi! Celebrating craftsmanship, family and sparkle!
    2025/11/15

Today on Unwined with Mandi, we’re celebrating craftsmanship, family, and a little bit of sparkle!

First up, we’re heading to the Moët & Chandon pop-up at the SAQ Dix30, where you can pick up your favourite bottle of bubbly and have it personally engraved — just in time for the holidays. It’s the perfect gift: elegant, personal, and full of celebration.

Then, we’ll welcome Nic Gizuk from Inniskillin Winery, as the iconic Canadian winery marks its 50th anniversary. We’ll talk about how Inniskillin has shaped Canada’s wine story and how one of their most exciting recent releases — the Discovery Series P3 — actually began as a happy accident.

And finally, we’ll travel to Italy to meet Ricardo Tedeschi of Tedeschi Wines, a true family legacy in the Valpolicella region. We’ll dive into the family’s centuries-long history of winemaking, their fascinating study on terroir, and of course, their distinct and beautifully crafted Amarone — a wine that’s as rich and complex as its story.

  • Unwined: The 'low-everything' wine movement!
    2025/11/01

This week on Unwined with Mandi, I’m sharing my Wines of the Week, then heading to Spain with wine writer Alana Lapierre, who just got back from Bierzo with stories and insight into one of the world’s most mysterious wine regions. We’ll also visit Quails’ Gate Winery in Kelowna, as Andrea Lyons joins me to talk about the winery’s history, what makes their vineyards so special, and how to plan the perfect visit. And finally, I’ll explore the rise of the “low-everything” wine movement — the new wave of wines that are lighter, lower in alcohol and sugar, but full of flavor and intention.

  • A delicious journey around the world of wine!
    2025/10/25

Today’s show is a delicious journey around the world of wine — starting right here at home with my Wines of the Week, including a little sunshine from the Loire Valley and a bold red with real attitude from South Africa.

Then, we’re heading to Bordeaux, where I’ll be joined by Véronique Hombreux from Mouton Cadet to talk about something truly inspiring — their Fair for Life certification, and how this historic Bordeaux house is leading the way in social and environmental sustainability.

From there, we’ll stay in Bordeaux for a moment and dive into the rich history of J. Lebègue with Jean-Pierre Durand, a man who knows this iconic brand inside and out — and whose stories will transport you straight to the vineyards of the Médoc.

And finally, we’ll take a long flight across the world to New Zealand, where we’ll explore the elegant, world-class wines of Kumeu River — a name that’s redefining what New Zealand Chardonnay can be.
