  • Do you wanna feel my foibles?
    2025/12/19

In this episode of Untidy, Hannah and Matilda get bum-clenchingly honest about relationships, emotional triggers, fear of failure, and the disappointing truth that doing “the work” doesn’t mean you’re finally “fixed”... (Wait ... what?!) It’s Matty’s turn to talk Hannah off the ledge this week!

They talk hyper-vigilance, catching petty old patterns resurfacing, the pressure to get relationships right, and why knowing too much can sometimes make things harder. From breadcrumb conversations to the immensity of merging lives, they take a confronting look at the messy middle of building healthy relationships amongst an ocean of quirks, failings, foibles and feelings. Just when they thought they had it all together!

Earnest. Relatable. Slightly confronting. Very Untidy. A little bit silly.

    2025/12/12

In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah are back together after Hannah’s pilgrimage in India to bring you a conversation covering all the HARD HITTING NEWS. Your Untidy chat is characterised by their consistency in offering you zero structure, maximum honesty, accidental wisdom, and altogether too much information, whether you wanted a discourse on butt hoses and glass bathrooms or not.

They’ll let you know how to tell if you’re in a cult, upset home appliance moguls, and enforce a group hug for the overwhelming show of solidarity from the listeners in response to the radically honest episode, ‘Do other people this hard?’

Jump on in and catch up with your gals!

  • Sex Ed Rescue with Cath Hakanson
    2025/12/05

In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah chat with the unshockable Cath Hakanson, a globally renowned sex educator and founder of Sex Ed Rescue, Sex Ed Shop, and the podcast Sex Ed for Tween Parents.

Cath has helped over a million parents around the world talk to their kids about sex, bodies, gender, and relationships. Her mission is to make these conversations less cringey, more confident, and just a normal part of growing up.

Cath unpacks how to move from the early “naming body parts” phase into the next chapter: helping tweens and teens navigate puberty, privacy, porn, pleasure, consent, and that glorious age where everything is “weird and embarrassing.”

Cath’s advice is simple but golden: focus on tiny, everyday chats, drop the shame, and let your kids know you’re a safe person to ask anything. Because if they can talk to you about sex, they can talk to you about anything.

Whether you’re at the start of the puberty rollercoaster or halfway up the climb, this conversation will leave you feeling better equipped, less squeamish, and seeing sausages in a whole new light.

    • Do other people find this hard?
      2025/11/28

In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah discuss an experience every parent will relate to. When you love your kids to bits, but they’re pushing you to the edge of your coping capacity.

Hannah and Matilda unpack those big parenting moments: the ones that make you question if anyone else’s kids are losing it like this, or if it’s just yours, and what does that mean about you as a parent? They talk about handling everyone’s explosive emotions, the guilt and grief that comes with it, and how to hold space for both.

There’s wisdom, laughter, and a bit of ugly-toilet-cry catharsis. From smashed rocks and frazzled nerves, to honesty, empathy, and the radical act of letting your tears come out, this episode is a reminder that love doesn’t need to look perfect, but it’s always doing its best.

Plus, Hannah remembers holding a bus hostage in Peru, and decides to carry over ‘air fryer’ news for another time ...

Take care out there, people. You’re doing a better job than you think.

    • Lie the f*ck down with Melody Thomas
      2025/11/21

In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah are joined by friend of the show, former co-producer, and fellow podcaster Melody Thomas. Melody is the co-creator and host of The Good Sex Project podcast and BANG!, among many other great shows. She joins the girls in bed, for a conversation about the radical act of lying the f*ck down.

Prompted by Melody’s viral Substack essay The Radical Act of Lying the F** Down, the trio explore what it means to step off the treadmill of productivity and listen to your body before it breaks. They talk about guilt, capitalism, motherhood, and why stopping to rest and nest can feel both terrifying and liberating.

From the sign that read “Humans Resting: Do Not Disturb” above a Houghton Bay lodge, to rediscovering creativity through stillness, this conversation is both a permission slip and a challenge: an invitation to reclaim rest not as indulgence, but as a necessity and as resistance.

    • “She went down like a dying swan”
      2025/11/14

In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah are dealing with pet perils as visits to the vet become a family affair for Hannah, and Matty takes to the local community page in a desperate search for missing Buster.

They address the present day question of what on earth is ‘6-7’? Not just breaking millennial brains nationwide, it’s even making a boomer out of ChatGPT. Have they all reached the age of irrelevancy?

Matilda relives a school-gate parenting quandary, and Hannah gives her latest Medical Corner update. They appreciate Lily Allen for being at her litigious best on the launch of her new album and taking back the power!

    • The man, the myth, the midnight messages
      2025/11/07

In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah pick up where they left off after Hannah rediscovers the long-lost screenshots from ‘Gareth the Weird Tinder Guy’ and his post-date text barrage. She reads them aloud to take Matty on a journey from polite ‘go wells’ to a spectacular ‘f*ck this’ emotional implosion.

Matilda shares her own encounter with an unhinged Facebook messenger whose rants somehow didn’t “violate community standards,” and the pair ponder how rejection, the internet, and a few too many can send people right off the rails.

The girls swap Halloween stories, debut their brand new Untidy T-shirts, and reminisce on Hannah’s Wanaka girls’ weekend that produced a full cup and a cracking ‘Car Cassettes’ playlist just for the millennials.

Hannah also talks about a brand-new podcast she co-hosts with Vedic Meditation Teacher, Georgia Vavasour, called ‘Unbound’. All about finding your place in modern spirituality, Georgia helps listeners get unbound on all of the big life questions, like, relationships, astrology, manifestation, happiness, purpose, religion, consciousness and accessing your clarity. In a digestible, accessible, practical, and light-hearted way, Georgia helps listeners, (and Hannah), to help get through the bumpy road of personal growth.
