I had previously talked about battling my mental illness and the incessant confusion that lead to my suicide attempt. In this self-therapy session I talk about the beautiful souls in our world that act as life-support to those loved ones in the throes of mental illness, substance abuse, or just being heavily challenged by life. I give my understanding of the support person. I answer questions on who our support people are, how do they successfully help their loved one in overcoming mental illness, and how they can utilize resources to help their loved one get through their most challenging times. All while making sure the support person is not forgetting to care for themselves.
This is my second episode and I am greatly enjoying this process of sharing a deeper version of my mental health to help broadcast any hidden understandings and hopefully help guide others through their journey with some insight and brutally honest self-therapy talk
