    We all face challenges and burdens in life, they can feel overwhelming. These feelings of weight are not uncommon as we navigate through our daily lives. When we talk about putting our burdens on God, it means acknowledging that we cannot carry them alone, and realizing that we don’t have to. When our burdens cause us to stop thanking God, it often reflects a heart that has forgotten His goodness, a heart that is taking His gifts for granted, or a heart that is resisting His help The same Lord who parted seas, toppled Jericho’s walls, and raised His Son from the grave still works mightily today. Keep your eyes open, your heart grateful, and your lips ready; the world needs to hear that you have seen what the Lord can do.     How often have you heard this sentence: "I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want to hear first?” God, too, has good and bad news for us. We are eager to hear the good news, but shudder at the idea of hearing bad news. Often, we display “Selective hearing”, because we only want to hear the good news. Now we are reminded that God’s judgment is coming to a world that forsakes God; it comes to individual persons who forsake God and live contrary to divine rules.     No one can promise you that your life will be pleasant, comfortable, free from stress and from aches and pains all the way through. No one can guarantee that your life will be happy, successful or that it will fulfill your dreams. There is an inherent risk in simply being born and living. With all that Jeremiah 20:13 tells us to praise the Lord: 13 Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For though I was poor and needy, he rescued me from my oppressors”. This isn’t just about physical salvation from danger, but also the spiritual deliverance from sin, despair, and hopelessness. God is keenly interested in our well-being and provides a safe haven for those who seek Him.
