    1. How she had postpartum depression and chronic migraines at the same time and she was stuck in the house and then her overspending was manifested.
    2. How she related shopping to what made her feel better and buying things brought her emotions up.
    3. How she now helps people with their overspending and came up with the spending type quiz, to help her clients see what spending type they are. There are 6 different spending types.
    4. How her chronic migraines were related to her having around 40 mini strokes and couldn't even walk or leave the house due to the weakness and numbness to her extremities.

    This week on Turning Trauma to Triumph, Danielle speaks to Dana Saperstein Ph.D., who speaks about:

    1. How he was molested by an orderly as a young child while he was in the hospital waiting to go to surgery. When he was taken to surgery the next day, he thought they were trying to kill him.
    2. How he turned to fighting in the neighborhood and smoking marijuana every day to be able to function.
    3. How he left his household as soon as he could because it was a toxic environment. When he went to go surfing, he also found a therapist. The therapist changed his life for the better.
    4. How he became a Clinical Psychologist and started helping his clients by using clinical hypnosis.
    5. Starting his podcast, Fear Me Out Podcast, and how his daughter is his editor, and he loves working with his daughter.
    6. Not letting lack of money stop you from getting the help that you need.

  • S1Ep24- A Victim turned Survivor's Journey from Trauma to Triumph

    This week on Turning Trauma to Triumph, Danielle speaks to Lois Wagner, who speaks about:

    1. How she was raped and attacked with a screwdriver and was tied up and left to bleed to death. She actually kept some of the glass and cut herself free and then called the police. The police caught the man who raped her and stole her car within a few minutes.
    2. How she immediately became an activist because South Africa had just ended the apartheid.
    3. Within 2 months, she was tricked by her business partner. She then lost the business and went deep into debt.
    4. How she was living outside of the country, and when she came back to South Africa, she ended up attending the Parole hearing of the man who attacked her. She forgave him in court and felt so free at that moment. Forgiveness is like a muscle, the more you practice, the easier it gets for you to forgive.
    5. She wrote a book called Walking Without Skin and also has a podcast with the same name.

    This week on Turning Trauma to Triumph, Danielle speaks to Heidi Johnson, who speaks about:

    1. How she got ready for school on April 20, 1999. It was like any other day until she was in the library for 10 minutes, and a teacher came in and told the students that a kid had been shot. She told them to get under their tables.
    2. She recalls hearing the shooters say to the students to get prepared to die, and she then prepared herself to die. They were standing directly in front of the table she was hiding under.
    3. How she heard her friend Rachel Scott get shot, and she was the first one killed.
    4. How she adopted her son from Congo. Now, her son has to do active shooter training in his school.
    5. She has established programs that protect children who are both growing up in the sex industry or from ever entering the sex industry in South and Southeast Asia and programs that combat neonatal and infant mortality in sub-Saharan Africa.

    1. Realizing that he was depressed at 7 or 8 years old and his Mom taking him to get help.
    2. Being diagnosed with Bipolar as an adult and taking medication to help him. Some medications can work for you for a while, and then you can plateau.
    3. How his son got diagnosed with Bipolar at seven and is working on his coping skills.
    4. How he started his Non-Profit Metta Association to help kids and parents with mental illness.
    5. How he got weight loss surgery 20 years ago and will not meet with doctors to help them see the long-term effects of the surgery.
