Tulsa Police are investigating several incidents from the past week, including homicides, assaults, and property crimes. Below is a summary of the reported cases:
Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Worthington Townhomes near E. 21st St. and S. 117th E. Ave., four teenagers were shot in what police described as an ambush. Two 18-year-olds, Arturo Dogollado and Jett Brummett, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others, aged 18 and 19, were hospitalized with injuries. Christopher Atjun, 18, was arrested and faces charges of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill. The case remains under investigation. On Friday, April 5, in North Tulsa near Harvard Ave., officers responded to a report of a domestic assault that resulted in minor injuries. A suspect was taken into custody for domestic assault and battery.
Earlier in the week on Wednesday, April 3, near W. 41st St. and S. Peoria Ave., a suspect under Department of Corrections supervision was arrested for felony possession of a firearm. This individual was booked and remains in custody pending further investigation.
On Tuesday, April 2, near downtown, an individual was arrested on suspicion of second-degree arson after evidence linked them to a fire that damaged a vacant building. The suspect is being held on bond, and the case is under review by investigators.
Officers also responded to several burglary reports in the midtown area. Notably, a first-degree burglary was reported near E. 15th St. and S. Delaware Ave. on Monday, April 1. Investigators are seeking leads in this case, which remains open.
No trends or patterns indicate concentrated criminal activity in specific areas, though a spike in firearm-related incidents and property crimes has been noted.
