    He previously served as a founding director/shareholder of Northstar Energy Corporation, ARC Resources Ltd., North American Oilsands Ltd., Bonavista Petroleum Ltd (Lead Director) and Seven Generations Energy Ltd. Michael was a past director of Devon Energy Corporation, Pure Technologies Ltd. (Lead Director), TransAlta Corporation, Cequence Energy (Chair) and Precision Drilling Inc. (Vice Chair).

    Mr. Kanovsky is Director Emeritus of the Advisory Board of the Ivey School of Business, former Vice Chair of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Board and former Alberta Chair of the Young Presidents Organization. Mr. Kanovsky is Founder and Director of the Kanovsky Family Foundation which was founded in 2004.

    Mr. Kanovsky holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business and is a Professional Engineer.

    Mr. Pickering is the Chief Investment Officer at Pickering Energy Partners (PEP). PEP is a financial services firm focused on Investments and Advice in the energy sector – both traditional oil and gas and energy transition.

    Prior to PEP, Mr. Pickering served as the President of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co., and Chief Investment Officer of TPH Asset Management. Mr. Pickering has spent 30 years as an Energy Portfolio Manager, Researcher, and Analyst, first at Fidelity Investments (where he managed ~$1 billion of energy sector funds), then as Head of Research at Simmons & Company and as the founding partner of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.

    Mr. Pickering is the Board Chair of Merge Electric Fleet Solutions and also serves on the Advisory Boards for the Houston CFA Society, Capital Creek Advisors, Dynamo Energy Hub, Midway Companies, as well as the Posse Foundation, the Board of Trustees for Texas Children’s Hospital and the Texas Children’s Hospital Foundation.

    Greetings & welcome back to the podcast.

    This episode we are joined by Mr. Mike Belenkie - CEO of Advantage Energy - a TSX listed energy company with a market cap of ~$2 Billion.

    Mr. Belenkie joined Advantage in October 2018 as Chief Operating Officer, and was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer in October 2019 and then to President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2022.

    Between 2012 and 2018, Mr. Belenkie founded and helped lead Modern Resources to become a highly efficient Deep Basin producer which included oversight on all aspects of the Corporation.

    From September 2008 to December 2011, Mr. Belenkie held roles of increasing responsibility at Painted Pony including Vice President of Reservoir Engineering and Corporate Development.

    Prior thereto, Mr. Belenkie held various roles at Talisman Energy (1995-2008) within their North American assets, including Team Lead of Montney and Northeast British Columbia. During 2006 and 2007, Mr. Belenkie was a management consultant with RLG International, working with leadership teams in two major producers in Alaska and Canada, while on secondment from Talisman.

    Mr. Belenkie received his BSc. In Mechanical Engineering from University of Calgary in 1997 and is a registered professional engineer with APEGA.

    Mr. Regehr played ~1089 NHL games over fifteen years including twelve with the Calgary Flames, and three with the LA Kings - where he won the Stanley Cup in 2014.

    Mr. Regehr also competed for Canada in World Juniors, World Championships, World Cup and Olympics.

    Mr. Regehr was a member of the NHLPA executive board for 4 years also participated in Audit and Executive Director search committee.
