  • Why Intermittent Fasting Backfires for Women Over 40 - Hormones, Weight Loss & Midlife Health with Sharlene Styles
    2026/04/16

You’re doing everything right… but your body isn’t responding.

Low energy. Stubborn weight. And the strategies that used to work suddenly don’t.

In this episode of the Travel and Transformation podcast, I talk with Sharlene Styles about why intermittent fasting and traditional weight loss advice can backfire for women over 40.

We break down what’s really happening with hormones, metabolism, inflammation, and stress in midlife, and why pushing harder isn’t the answer.

If you’re navigating perimenopause, struggling with weight gain, or trying to balance your hormones naturally, this conversation will help you understand what your body is actually telling you.

    TOPICS DISCUSSED:

    • The "tricky trio" why hormones, inflammation, and gut health are always connected
    • What insulin resistance really is and why your body is basically going on strike
    • Why intermittent fasting may be making things worse
    • What 36 blood markers can tell you that your doctor's standard tests won't
    • Why knowing what to do is never the real problem and what is
    • The one thing that determines whether any health change will actually stick

    2026/04/08

How do you build a successful business without losing your life in the process?

In this episode of the Travel and Transformation Show, I sit down with Preeti Agarwal, a business leader with over 20 years of experience in real estate and fintech, to talk about what it really takes to build a business you love.

From growing a company from 25 employees to over 2,500, to launching a boutique hotel in Puerto Rico, Preeti shares the behind-the-scenes reality of entrepreneurship, including the sacrifices, the mindset shifts, and the importance of alignment in both life and work.

If you’re a high-achieving woman trying to balance ambition, fulfillment, and personal life, this conversation will challenge the way you think about success.

In this episode, we talk about:

    - What it really takes to build a business long-term

    - The hidden cost of entrepreneurship (no one talks about this)

  • The Voice That’s “Protecting” You Is Actually Sabotaging You. Why Fear Keeps You Stuck.
    2026/04/01

Have you ever felt afraid to do something… but knew you needed to do it anyway?

In this episode, I’m sharing a few real experiences from my own life that all come back to one thing. Mindset.

From going live on Facebook for the first time, to skydiving, to even just getting out of the house on a cold day. Each of these moments required courage, a shift in thinking, and a willingness to do the uncomfortable thing.

I talk about what it feels like to face fear head-on. And how the first time is always the hardest. But once you do it, it gets easier. You build confidence. You start to trust yourself.

I also share something we don’t talk about enough. The voice in your head.

The loud voice that tells you:

    “You’re not good enough.”

    “You don’t know enough.”

    “Stay where it’s safe.”

And the quieter voice that’s trying to guide you forward.

How often are we listening to the wrong one?

This episode is an invitation to start noticing those voices. To question where they came from. And to ask yourself if they’re actually true. Because sometimes, the very thing that feels like it’s protecting you… is actually holding you back.

I also talk about what it means to pivot when things don’t go according to plan. Whether it’s a disrupted schedule or a delayed flight, you always have a choice in how you respond.

At the end of the day, you can’t control everything. But you can control how you show up.

If there’s something you’ve been afraid to do… maybe this is your sign to try it. Even if it’s just dipping your pinky toe in.

    TOPICS DISCUSSED:

    • Facing fear and doing the uncomfortable thing
    • Overcoming perfectionism and fear of judgment
    • Why confidence comes after taking action
    • The “loud” vs. “quiet” voice in your head
    • How limiting beliefs are formed and reinforced
    • Reframing fear and excitement
    • Pivoting when things don’t go as planned
    • Choosing your response when things are out of your control

    BEST MOMENTS:

"When you finally do the thing that scares you the first time, each subsequent time becomes easier."

"How often is the voice that is trying to protect us really sabotaging our progress?"

"You came into this world good enough."
