On this episode of the Black Baseball Mixtape, Cheats visited with Tony Gwynn Jr.
Gwynn, 42, a former professional baseball player for the Brewers, Padres, Dodgers, and Phillies, is now a commentator for the Padres and an afternoon sports talk host on the Padres' flagship radio station.
During the podcast, Gwynn talked about his journey through baseball and his transition to media after his playing career. He spoke about how he fell in love with the game and when he flipped the switch to make it a career. Of course, he briefly discussed the lessons from his Hall of Fame dad, but the conversation primarily centered around Tony's own experiences and how he built his career. It's an excellent episode that I hope you share with a friend.
The Black Baseball Mixtape is in partnership with Steelo Sports, Players Alliance, NumbersGame ScoreCards, Rebellion Harvest Sunflower seeds, Minority Prospects, and Red, Black, and Green Baseball.
