  • Control Your Emotions
    2026/01/28

We're exploring so-called emotions in this episode - "so-called" because most emotions are simply and destructively the product of thought.

Yes the automated thoughts that enable us make it through the day are the self-same automated thoughts that make us think that we're angry, fearful, anxious, lonely... you name it, it's all thought-induced.

So, in this episode, we explore action not reaction, considered response not emotional overload, doing what needs to be done, not throwing fuel on the everyday fires of this normal crazy everyday world of ours.

Using a couple of really simply everyday practical examples, this episode explains how the normal mind sets us up for everyday disaster, so everyday that we think that it's OK, that is an acceptable price to pay for making it through the day.

Conversely, I explain why you're here, what everyday life is really all about and, most importantly, how to experience it, how to do the right thing effortlessly and how to enjoy yourself in the process.

All this flows when you... control your emotions.

All is well. You'll have heard me repeat that on many occasions, you'll have heard that from the Buddha, the Bible, Anthony deMello, not to mention all the modern "gurus"!

But look at the world. Look at your everyday life. Is all really well? Or are we fooling ourselves with the worst form of wishful thinking when we endeavour to convince ourselves that all is well?

Well! That's what we explore in this episode: the scientific fact, as confirmed by neuroscience, that a brain in flow creates a reality where all is, in actual reality, flowing effortlessly, where all is, actually well.

We explain and explore how, in the moment, not only is it all good, it provides us with an opportunity to enjoy and be excited by how we play our part in all being well.

And what a central part that is!

Obviously, playing your part is central to your creating an everyday experience of flowing life, where all is actually well. But you've a central role in doing the same for those around you, those you love, the bully at work, the angry people (that we inevitably encounter every day), the world at large.

And, boy, does the world at large need it.

This episode finishes with the words "you are the creator, go and create all that's best" - or words to that effect!!

  • The Circle of En-courage-ment
    2026/01/14

What we need is encouragement to start doing and keep doing what we need to do to move ourselves forward.

What we don't need is courage - once you stop thinking that "Little Old Me" can't take the required actions to move your life forward, neither courage nor bravery is required - to quote Nike, you just do it - what it happens to be.

And you do it effortlessly - that's one of the key messages to emerge from this week's episode - because, whilst our normal way of thinking evolved in a way that frustrates our so-called best efforts, you will find that, freed from that normal way of thinking, you, again to quote Nike, just do it.

So, this episode provides you with the instructions for experiencing all of this good stuff, in the here and now, where your life is actually lived.

You've have the instructions for fulfilling one of life's great purposes - to live it! To live it like you mean it and enjoy yourself in the process.

    Worth 30mins of your time!
