Do you long for time to spend with Jesus? Have you found yourself needing a hug from your husband, so you feel wanted? Do you feel guilty wishing there was more to your life than wiping noses and doing dishes? Are you drowning in the responsibilities of just being Mom? Do you wonder why your pre-mom routines are no longer working?

I am so excited that you are here! This podcast will help find peace with the time you do have, start rebuilding routines you need to stay sane, invite you to see yourself how God sees you, and find joy in motherhood.
Hi, I’m Cheryl! Wife, SAHM of two girls, Mom Mentor and Jesus follower. For years, I struggled to fit myself into the same routines, spiritual habits and identity I had as a newly married woman.
I was frustrated, discouraged and depressed when all I felt at the end of the day was worthless because I couldn’t accomplish all the things I used to be able to do.
I finally realized in trying to meet everyone’s needs except my own, I had forgotten who I was and, if I was going to have any joy in motherhood, I had to discover who I had become.
I had to rediscover my identity, prioritize my mental, spiritual, and even physical health so I could be the mom my girls needed.
If you’re ready to ditch the mom guilt for peace, find Jesus in the middle of the dishes, and love yourself like your babies do, this podcast is for you.
Grab your ear pods and start folding laundry, this is Time for Mom.

Cheryldavisauthor@gmail.com Do you ever slip into routines that make you feel like you're “just a SAHM,” forgetting your God‑given identity is deeper than any role you fill? Have you noticed how quickly motherhood can overshadow your identity, making you forget you’re a daughter of the King? Are you measuring your self‑worth by the roles you carry instead of remembering you are deliberately designed, deeply loved, and more than any season you’re walking through? If so, you’re in the right place. Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. In Time for Mom, we have honest conversations about comparison, practical devotional moments, and encouragement you can tuck into the cracks of your day. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, rediscover your identity, and love yourself the way your babies already do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom. In this episode, I’m sharing how culture tries to define us by productivity and roles so you can release those expectations and rest in the truth that God calls you treasured, known, and deliberately designed. Your identity is not limited to motherhood — culture may label you “just a mom,” but God calls you chosen and loved. Roles shift, but your identity in Christ stays steady — when life changes, you don’t lose who you are; you are God’s daughter first. People may define you by what you do, but God defines you by who you are — His child, deliberately designed and deeply loved. You are more than your productivity — God values you beyond tasks, roles, or how much you accomplish in a day. Your story is bigger than any season you’re walking through — illness, motherhood, work, or struggle do not get the final say on your identity. Teach your children their identity in Christ — when they know who they are to God, they won’t be shaken by changing roles or expectations. God sees you as His treasured daughter — beloved, cherished, and held, no matter what role you’re currently living out. Cheryldavisauthor@gmail.com Do you ever get caught in routines that leave you overreacting, comparing yourself to other SAHMs, and wondering if your self-worth is tied to how “well” you’re mothering? Have you noticed how quickly mom guilt can hijack your priorities — pulling you into negative thought spirals before you even realize what your body is trying to tell you? Are you starting to see how your self-esteem shifts when you’re overwhelmed, making it harder to choose a calm response and remember the relationship God is forming in you as you parent your child? Meet Kelsey Redd, a wife, mom of 4 little kids, an adventurer, and most importantly, a disciple of Jesus Christ. She is the host of the Intentional Motherhood podcast, where she helps busy Christian moms create presence & purpose at home through simple mindfulness routines and sustainable spiritual practices. After a decade as a holistically trained Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Kelsey’s focus shifted from therapy into motherhood and spirituality, helping women align with God, shift their mindset, and find joy in motherhood without doing more. As a SAHM herself, she’s passionate about helping women create lives they love and to really enjoy motherhood! In this honest and hope-filled conversation, Kelsey Redd unpacks why moms slip into negative thought spirals — and how to stop them before they take over your day. Together we explore emotional regulation, spiritual alignment, and the powerful truth that parenting often reveals the places where we still need nurturing, healing, and re-parenting. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck in your head, this episode gives you practical tools and a faith-centered framework to breathe again. Key Takeaways Negative thought spirals lose power the moment you identify, articulate, and interrupt them. Emotional regulation works best when you practice it before you need it — not in the heat of the moment. Parenting is deeply connected to re-parenting yourself and healing the parts of you God is still shaping. Your relationship with your children often mirrors the relationship you’re trying to build with God. Awareness of your body — tension, breathing, posture — helps you understand what you’re actually feeling. You can choose your focus: there are always multiple experiences happening at once, and you get to decide which one you give attention to. Practical Techniques to Stop Negative Thought Spirals Identify when you’ve entered a negative spiral. Say it out loud or write it down to break the mental loop. Practice regulation habits regularly so they’re available when emotions spike. Notice your current emotional condition without judgment. Journal your triggers to reveal patterns. Recognize moments of overreaction before they escalate. Pause long enough to calm your body. Name what you’re about to do and how you’re feeling. Choose the response you want instead of reacting from overwhelm. >Intentional Motherhood Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/intentional-motherhood-mindset-wellness-routines-self/id1812232330 >Website: Creatingintentionalmothers.com >Stop the Spiral course - https://www.creatingintentionalmothers.com/stop-the-spiral >Discount Code: TIMEFORMOM >Ig: @creating.intentional.mothers >Email: creating.intentional.mothers@gmail.com Next Steps: >Subscribe to the Time for Mom weekly devotion and newsletter: https://bit.ly/timeformomsubscribe >Find Bible reference list in the original devotion: https://cheryldavisauthor.substack.com/p/stuck-in-the-mom-role-the-truth-about Join the Time for Mom private Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/timeformomcommunity >Leave a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts! https://bit.ly/timeformompodcast >Need a mom mentor? • 96 | Comparison Builds Walls, Grace Builds Friendships - Devotion
    2026/07/03
Do you go into momma bear mode when someone hurts your family, forgetting there may be a deeper story you can’t see? Have you ever compared your priorities to another person and wonder why they are doing things that don't make sense, instead of considering the invisible battles they might be fighting? Are you carrying judgement in a way that leaves you feeling guilty, instead of choosing grace that protects your peace and your relationships? If so, you’re in the right place. Hi, Beautiful! I’m Cheryl — wife, SAHM, Coach and Mom Mentor. I learned the not‑so‑secret ways to become the mom my girls needed by prioritizing Jesus, building simple routines that supported my priorities, rejecting mom guilt, and discovering what self‑esteem and self‑worth really look like in everyday motherhood. If you’re ready to build faith while washing dishes, rediscover your identity, and love yourself the way your babies already do — grab your earbuds and lock the bathroom door for a minute alone. It’s Time for Mom. In this episode, I’m sharing why what you can’t see in someone’s life matters more than what you do see, so you can stop carrying the weight of judgement and start responding with Christlike grace, empathy, and peace. Hurt people hurt people — look deeper before reacting. Judgement is easy; grace takes Holy Spirit strength. Invisible battles shape behavior more than we realize. Assumptions destroy relationships — curiosity repairs them. Understanding isn’t approval — it’s Christlike compassion. Leave condemnation to God — He sees the whole picture. Grace brings more joy than judgement ever will.
