  • From Soldier to Humanitarian - The Journey to Compassion
    2025/09/08

In this episode of Through The Eyes of Adversity, I sit down with Ste Holland to hear his incredible story — from a troubled childhood, to serving on front-line combat operations across the world with the army, to now making life-or-death decisions that determine whether millions of people in Gaza have food on their tables. Ste’s journey and achievements could never be fully captured in just 40 minutes, but we’ve done our best to give you a glimpse into his extraordinary life and selfless mission. In recent years, he’s worked on the ground in places like Ukraine and Gaza, bringing aid to countless people — many of them children. His tireless humanitarian efforts have even been featured on programmes such as ITV News. I hope this conversation helps shine an even brighter light on the incredible, life-changing work Ste is doing. #army #humanitarian #food #adversity #help

  • The Mindset of a Premier League Footballer
    2025/06/16

It was great to sit down with former LFC midfielder Kevin Stewart in the latest episode of Through The Eyes of Adversity.

As successful as a footballing career Kevin had, in the theme of my podcast, we got to speak about how he dealt with moments of adversity in life both on and off the pitch.

It was really interesting to understand how he managed the pressures of playing at the top level of football around some of the best players in the world. How he bounced back through difficult periods of his career and how his mentality helped him achieve so much.

With all of Kevin's experience, he now helps so many people around the world reach their own potential in life wether that be in business, sport or even as parents.

I am just truly grateful to have spent the time together in this podcast, and I hope everybody else enjoys it, too.

Episode 16 will be live Sunday 15th on my youtube in bio or for just audio on Spotify.

This episode is officially sponsored by the Perks of the Job. Mental health is a big part of my podcast. So, having a local Manchester based business who stands for the same values as my podcast really means a lot to me, and it's great to work in partnership on this episode.

"Perks of the Job are proud sponsors of this episode because they’re hugely passionate about supporting mental health and advocating for a healthy work-life balance.'

  • When Dad's Lose Themselves
    2025/06/10

in this episode I sat down with Chris Beavers, also known as Farther Fit PT.

Chris spoke about his experience becoming a new Dad during Covid and how he fell into the common situation of letting go of his fitness routines and not prioritising his own health. This is all common, leading to the well know phrase - Dad Bod. But its more than just a physique problem.

Once you become a Dad it can be easy for a lot of people to forget who they used to be. You may not be able to live the same life prior to kids, however it can be the perfect time to start thinking about your health.

Chris helps Dad's feel at their best and we talk about some of the most common things Dad's face daily including himself. We talk about why its good to set the right example for our kids when it comes to habits, movement and nutrition.
