    2025/07/21

These days, planning a wedding means being inundated with content surrounding wedding horror stories, advice, and of course…capturing it all in the perfect TikTok. With Nikta currently planning a wedding and Amanda already married, in this episode we break down three major topics that we’ve seen the most discourse about online:

    1) What is worth spending your money on.

    2) Choosing the wedding party.

    3) How to make people happy while not compromising what is important to you.

This episode should help those deep in the wedding-planning trenches remember what is most important to them throughout the process.

  • Why Being a "Stan" Is Not Cringe
    2025/07/07

Being a “stan” has become a guilty pleasure for many adult women; however, we want to unpack what it means to be a ‘stan’ and why it's a practice of community building and joy for all genders and ages. Why does stanhood’s association with young girls and feminine joy make it distasteful in the current cultural conversation?

In this episode, we dive into Nikta’s experiences as a lifelong super fan of boy bands and kpop and how these experiences have shifted through the isolation of adult fan culture. With Amanda’s experiences in marketing, we get into the power behind women’s interests and how the industry is shaping itself around the very audience that is shamed online. Ultimately, through combining our different experiences from both the consumer and producer perspective, we offer a new perspective on being a ‘stan’ and the power it brings. We hope this episode will convince you to be a ‘stan.’

  • Romanticize Your Life
    2025/06/30

These days it feels like every influencer on social media is pushing us to romanticize our lives…through buying the perfect products, of course.

In this episode, we explore what it means to romanticize your life. Diving deeply into the history of romantic literature and romcoms and then assessing the modern move towards romanticizing one’s life, we aim to separate romanticization from hyper-consumerism. By sharing Amanda’s journey with romanticization and how it led her to land her dream job, and choose to give it up, we offer a new perspective on romanticizing your life – ultimately exploring whether romanticizing your life is helpful or harmful (or maybe something in between).

  • How We Learned to *Actually* Forgive
    2025/06/23

With the widespread shift towards cancel culture, we’ve found that forgiveness has become a very black and white topic. In this context, does an apology actually mean forgiveness?

In this episode, we dive into Amanda and Nikta’s starkly different experiences with forgiveness growing up, and how repetitive apologies or lack thereof informed our adult tendencies towards feeling resolved after conflict. Ultimately, through combining the lessons we’ve both learned along the way, we offer a perspective on forgiveness which prioritizes intentionality and grace in reaching resolutions. It’s this topic which, most of all, has formed the foundation of our podcast and we hope you can learn from each of our differing perspectives.

  • WTF Is My Type?
    2025/06/16

We’ve all, at least once, been asked the question, “What’s your type?”. We’ve also heard the popular answer, “I don’t have a type.”

In this episode, we explore how to answer the question, WTF is my type? We investigate the reasons why, oftentimes, when we describe our types, integral parts of our vulnerabilities and fears are revealed by what we conceal in our answers. By sharing Nikta’s experiences with dating and the advice that helped shape her relationship with vulnerability, we hope these experiences will bring you closer to answering the question, WTF is your type?

  • Welcome to the Three Way Call podcast!
    2025/06/16

Amanda & Nikta have been friends for over a decade.

We met on the first day of high school, lived together in University, and now we live in different countries. When we were in High school, everyone told us we were the same person. We loved the same subjects, got the same grades...the same boys even had crushes on us! But when we got to University, everyone told us we were polar opposites; Amanda was warm, bubbly, and girly but Nikta was cold, mysterious, and “edgy.” So, how could both of these possibly be true?

Throughout our twenties, we discovered that maybe at our core we are similar but the way we see and move through the world is uniquely different. It turns out, that’s actually the reason why we’re best friends. We’ve gained value through the differing perspectives we've shared with each other, so much so that we decided to share these lessons with you. Which is why… we started a podcast!

Now that our friendship is long-distance, we stay connected over the phone. We wanted to welcome you into our weekly calls, discussing the ups and downs of growing and the lessons we've learned (and continue to learn) along the way.
