Hey folks, whew we finally made it. After "centuries" of promising you at least the intro episode, I'm finally sending it out to the inter-universe choppy edits and all (please be kind and patient while I continue to improve and advance my pretty amateur editing skills.) There are a lot of "unnatural jumps and sentences cut off. I owe that to my over infatuation with trying to edit out my filler words and then trying to undo that and in the process losing some audio. Unfortunately the editor is extremely standard and I can't do any fine tuning besides splitting and removing sections. Working on learning Audacity but she's a bit more complex! Thank you for your patience waiting for me to get this done and your loving support and encouragement that my voice matters. Knowing that there are folks who are eagerly awaiting this release definitely help to remind me that my heart in doing this is in the right place. I hope that at least some of it resonates for folks even if its just following my ADHD mental processing, meandering and talking about real stuff while getting distracting by anything and frequently losing my train of thought. I am hoping this podcast could be a help for folks who are too often told that they are too much, that their lived reality/experiences, mental health struggles, disabilities, marginalized identity(ies). grief, trauma, etc. don't matter. I hope that it serves as a reminder that its ok to talk about the "heavy" things and to encourage dialogue especially when it's constantly reinforced that its not ok, shameful, and discouraged. Using euphemisms for mental health language often perpetuate the stigma, promote this idea that it's taboo, and even encourage and try to justify discrimination. This just encourages people to suffer in silence, feeling that it's never appropriate, safe, or OK to reach out and talk to others when they need to. I hope you all remember that you are never too much, you are just enough, and you are valued, valid and deserving. Thank you all for listening and for joining me on this scary but exciting "learning" journey. See you next episode. -Aidyn/Quinn (he/him pronouns) (CLOSED CAPTIONING COMING SOON. I'LL DO BETTER I PROMISE.) PLEASE RATE/LEAVE REVIEWS WHEREVER YOU LISTEN! HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD SO I CAN MAKE MORE EPISODES. 💜
