  • Episode 47: Processing the SBC Vote with Meredith Stone
    2026/06/16

Today we are interrupting our podcast schedule to bring you a conversation Katy had last week with Executive Director of Baptist Women in Ministry, Meredith Stone. Katy and Meredith discuss the recent SBC vote to further restrict the voices of women as well as do a deep dive on the tainted history of the Southern Baptist Church. Meredith also explains why this issue continues to come up over and over and why simply leaving the denomination is sometimes more complicated than we think.

In our bonus episode on Substack, Katy asks Meredith what she makes of the “secret” Baptist churches that exclude the word Baptist from their name in an effort to be more appealing and how this practice is often harmful for women.
