In 1999, a woman escaped from Ray’s property and led investigators to a hidden trailer containing disturbing evidence that would expose a much larger investigation.

Ray was eventually sentenced to more than 223 years in prison, but many questions remained unanswered. He claimed there were approximately 40 victims, yet investigators were never able to confirm that number.

Even years after his death, authorities continued searching for possible victims and clues.
