    At our Holy Communion Service, themed “Communion of Peace & Prosperity,” Pastor Femi Paul continued our teaching series with “Peacemakers, Part 3.” Drawing from John 14:27, we were reminded that Jesus has given us His peace, a gift the world cannot give. The Greek word Eirene connects peace with wholeness and prosperity, reinforcing a fundamental truth: “Nemo dat quod non habet! You cannot give what you don't have!” As PFP declared, “A soul that lacks the peace of God is a troubled soul, a soul waging a war within!” To become peacemakers, we must first possess the peace of Christ. The message challenged us to become makers and maintainers of peace in a world increasingly characterised by conflict and division. God's wisdom teaches us to be gentle, reasonable, merciful and quick to mend fences. Building healthy relationships requires the hard work of getting along, treating others with dignity and honour. When we receive God's peace, we can sow seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness. Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your precious gift of peace. Let Your peace rule my heart and silence every inner conflict. Give me the wisdom, humility and grace to make and maintain peace, mend fences and treat others with dignity and honour. May I continually sow seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness. Amen.

    At our Interactive Midweek Service, Pastor Colins Nwosu taught on “The Work of Peacemaking.” Building on series “Blessed are the peacemakers,” we were reminded that peace requires intentional effort. Scripture calls us, as much as it depends on us, to live peaceably with everyone and to pursue peace. Peacemaking therefore goes beyond loving the idea of peace; it means choosing responses and taking actions that actively move relationships away from conflict and towards reconciliation. The message brought this into the practical realities of relationships. Jesus teaches us to address offences directly and appropriately, while also examining ourselves before focusing on another person’s faults. Peacemaking requires humility, wisdom and self-awareness, particularly when emotions are involved. Sometimes the work begins simply with how we respond, because “a soft answer turns away wrath.” We may not control how others behave, but we can take responsibility for our own part. Peace is worth pursuing, and peacemaking is work worth doing. Prayer: Lord, make me a true peacemaker. Give me the humility to examine myself, the wisdom to address conflict rightly, and the grace to respond gently when tensions rise. Help me, as much as it depends on me, to pursue peace with everyone and faithfully do the work of reconciliation. Amen.

    At today’s Testimony & Thanksgiving Service, Pastor Femi Paul brought us God’s Word titled “GIVE GOD A GOOD REASON...” Through the examples of Jesus and Abraham, we saw the principle of divine reciprocity: God responds to people in a way that reflects their actions and heart. Jesus humbled Himself in complete obedience and God highly exalted Him; Abraham withheld nothing from God and received an extraordinary promise of blessing. Their lives remind us that our attitude, obedience and devotion to God matter. The message invited us to look inward and ask what our own lives are giving God to respond to. Sometimes the change we desire begins with a change of heart: turning fully towards God, trusting Him, obeying willingly and withholding nothing. May our lives give God good reasons to pour out His refreshing, blessing and favour, and may our response to Him always come from a willing and cheerful heart. Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness towards me. Shape my heart and attitude to please You. Help me to obey You willingly, give cheerfully and withhold nothing You require of me. May my life honour You and continually give You good reasons to bless, refresh and elevate me. Amen.

    At today’s Warfare Wednesday Service, Pastor Femi Paul gave a short exhortation and led us in prayers on “HELP, I NEED HELPERS!” From the man at the pool of Bethesda who lamented, “I have no one to help me,” we were reminded that no one succeeds in life entirely alone; someone helped. Admitting that we need a helper is wisdom, not weakness. At different points in life, we all need people God can position to support us, lift us and help us move forward. We prayed for God to send help from His sanctuary and support from Zion, recognising also that roles can switch: today’s helper may need a helper tomorrow. We must therefore be willing both to receive help and to become helpers ourselves. Above all, our confidence rests in God, who declares, “I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with My victorious right hand.” Wherever help is needed, may God send the right helpers at the right time. Prayer: O God, come quickly to my help! Send me the right helpers for every area of my life where I cannot go alone. Give me the humility to receive help and the grace to become a helper to others. I hold firmly to Your promise: You will strengthen me, You will help me, and You will uphold me with Your victorious right hand. Amen.

    Pastor Colins Nwosu brought us God's Word titled “The Helper, the Holy Spirit.” Continuing our focus on the help we need in life, we were reminded that God has given us a Helper who is always with us: the Holy Spirit. Jesus described Him as our Helper, and the Greek word Parakletos speaks of one called alongside us to help, counsel, intercede and stand in our defence. Even when we do not know what or how to pray, the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us. What a beautiful assurance that we are never left to navigate life in our own strength! The message also reminded us that the Holy Spirit does more than come to our aid in difficult moments; He empowers us to live differently every day. As we walk in step with Him, He helps us overcome the desires of the flesh and produces His fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Our responsibility is to yield to His leading, depend on His strength and allow His presence to shape our character. We have been given a Helper; let us learn to live as people who are truly helped! Prayer: Father, thank You for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit, my ever-present Helper. Teach me to recognise His voice, depend on His strength and yield to His leading. When I am weak or do not know what to pray, remind me that He intercedes for me. May His fruit become increasingly evident in my life as I walk daily in step with Him. Amen.

    At today's Hymnal & Pure Worship Service, Pastor Femi Paul continued Wednesday's teaching with a message titled “HOW TO RECOGNIZE HELPERS.” Building on the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda, we were reminded that no one succeeds in life entirely alone; someone helped! God places strategic relationships and destiny helpers along our journey, but recognising them is just as important as needing them. These helpers may not come with money, influence or impressive appearances. Sometimes, the person who teaches us how to fish is a greater blessing than the one who simply gives us fish. The message challenged us to become more discerning, gracious and intentional in our relationships. We must learn to look beyond appearances, treat people with kindness, remain sensitive to God's guidance and appreciate those who support us. We were also encouraged to become helpers ourselves, remembering that what we do for others can open doors of help in our own lives. May we never overlook the people God sends our way or miss our day of divine visitation! Prayer: Father, thank You for the helpers You have placed along my journey. Open my eyes to recognise them, give me wisdom to discern their purpose and a grateful heart to honour them. Guide me into the right relationships, and make me a blessing and a destiny helper to others. I will not miss my day of visitation, in Jesus' name. Amen.

    Continuing our teaching on peacemaking, Pastor Femi Paul showed us that peacemakers should be distinctly attractive in a world increasingly marked by conflict, strife and turmoil. Philippians 2 calls us to live without complaining and division, becoming a breath of fresh air and giving people a glimpse of God through the way we live. While Scripture warns of a culture where people become quarrelsome, difficult to reconcile and even unwilling to make peace, the children of God are called to be different: peace-loving, gentle, reasonable and quick to mend fences. Peacemaking, however, does not happen automatically. God reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, calling us to work at restoring our relationships with one another. James 3 reminds us that healthy communities are built when we do the hard work of getting along, treating one another with dignity and honour, being willing to listen, yield and extend mercy. Every response therefore plants a seed. When we choose peace, we plant seeds that can produce a harvest of goodness. Peacemakers don't merely desire peace; they work for it, plant it and help it grow. Prayer: Lord, thank You for reconciling me to Yourself through Jesus Christ. Make me a true peacemaker: gentle, reasonable, merciful and quick to mend fences. Keep strife, quarrelling and division far from me. Give me the wisdom and humility to do the hard work of getting along with others, treating everyone with dignity and honour. May I plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness. Amen.
