Witnesses describe a driverless red bus with blinding lights forcing cars off the road – and vanishing without a trace. This narrative follows the true legend of London’s phantom bus, from its first reported sightings and the ensuing panic, through the efforts to debunk and explain it, and its lasting status as one of the capital’s eeriest urban legends.
