• People, Process or Policy.
    2026/09/21
What if the problem in your business isn’t actually your team?

In this episode of The Wealthy Practitioner Podcast, Nikki is back after two weeks of travel: from France and Switzerland for her husband’s 40th birthday to six days in New Jersey with the TWP team. She’s talking about one of the biggest lessons in leadership: diagnosing the problem before you react to it.

When something keeps breaking in your business, it’s easy to assume you have a people problem. But before you blame the person, hire someone new, create another SOP, or jump in and fix it yourself, there are four places you need to look: people, process, policy, and leadership.

Nikki breaks down how to tell the difference between someone who needs more training and someone who needs accountability, why relying on your team to “just remember” is usually a process issue, and how unclear policies can turn you into the person everyone has to ask for permission.

And then there’s the hardest bottleneck to recognize: you.

If you require approval for everything, redo your team’s work, jump in the second something goes wrong, or say you want ownership but criticize decisions you wouldn’t have made yourself, you may be creating the exact dependence you’re frustrated by.

Because you cannot require control and then complain about dependence.

    In this episode:
    • The difference between people, process, and policy problems
    • “Can’t do it” vs. “won’t do it”
    • Why leaders accidentally become the workaround for broken systems
    • How to create decision-making boundaries that empower your team
    • The four-question diagnostic Nikki uses when something repeatedly breaks
    • Why your role eventually has to shift from solving problems to building problem solvers
    • How to recognize when YOU are the bottleneck
The goal of leadership isn’t to build a business that works because you’re there.

It’s to build one that works because of what you created when you’re not.

If this episode made you immediately think of a bottleneck in your own business, share it with another business owner and DM Nikki with what you discovered: people, process, policy… or leadership?

  • Winning Requires Change
    2026/09/14
Most businesses don’t have a strategy problem—they have a truth problem.

In this episode, we’re talking about what leadership actually looks like as your business grows: creating a culture where people can tell the truth, putting the right people in the right seats, rewarding your top performers, and confronting problems before they become expensive.

    We also get into:
    • Why your mission should guide real decisions—not decorate a wall
    • The difference between loyalty and keeping someone in a role they’ve outgrown
    • Why treating every team member the same can drive away your best people
    • How great leaders create clarity and energy
    • Why every team failure points back to a training or leadership gap
    • The shift from doing everything yourself to building people who can do it even better
Your next level will require stronger decisions, harder conversations, and a new version of you.

  • Stop Wearing Struggle Like a Trophy
    2026/08/31
Working harder isn’t always the answer.

In this episode of The Wealthy Practitioner Podcast, Alejandro gets personal about the mistakes he’s made while growing businesses, raising a family, and trying to carry too much himself.

There’s a difference between being in a season that requires you to push—and destroying yourself because you haven’t built the systems, support, or capacity to handle the life and business you’re trying to create.

This episode challenges you to stop treating every uncomfortable season like burnout, stop waiting to feel motivated, and start looking at where you may need more discipline, better systems, or simply more help.

Alejandro breaks down why your first—or next—hire might not even belong in your clinic. A nanny, housekeeper, meal prep service, personal assistant, or someone handling repetitive tasks at home could buy back the hours you need to lead your business AND actually be present with your family.

Because the goal isn’t to prove you can do everything yourself.

The goal is to build the capacity to carry more without sacrificing everything that matters to you in the process.

    In this episode, you'll hear:
    • Why motivation is NOT a business strategy
    • The difference between discomfort and true burnout
    • Why taking care of your health increases your capacity to lead
    • How hiring help at home can be just as valuable as hiring inside your business
    • Why buying back your time doesn’t mean delegating your responsibilities
    • How to identify the work that actually moves the needle
    • Why doing everything yourself can become a leadership problem
    • How to recognize when you're in a legitimate season of grind
    • Why capacity has to come BEFORE expansion
    • How to build a business that serves your family instead of constantly stealing from it
    Questions to ask yourself:

Where are you calling yourself burnt out when you may actually need more discipline?

What are you doing every week that someone else could do 80% as well?

Are you tired because you’re working hard—or because you’re working without clear priorities?

What habits need to change for your body to support the business you say you want?

    And most importantly:

Are you building a business that serves your family—or one that constantly steals time from them?

You don’t need to wear struggle like a trophy.

Build the systems. Hire the help. Protect your health. Be present with the people you love.

And build the capacity for the next level before you ask for more.

  • The Dreamer and the Doer: Why Every Business Needs Both
    2026/08/24
You can have the biggest vision in the world—but without someone who can turn that vision into priorities, systems, accountability, and execution, it stays an idea.

In this episode of The Wealthy Practitioner Podcast, Alejandro breaks down the relationship between the Visionary and the Integrator and why understanding which one you are can completely change the way you lead and scale your business.

Using the relationship between Walt and Roy Disney, Alejandro explains why some of the most successful businesses weren’t built by two people who thought alike. They were built by people with completely different strengths who trusted each other enough to stay in their lanes. Walt could see the castle before the land was even purchased. Roy helped figure out how to actually make it happen.

Inside this episode, Alejandro breaks down:
    • The defining characteristics of a Visionary vs. an Integrator
    • Why having more ideas probably isn’t what your business needs
    • How a Visionary’s greatest strength can become the company’s biggest distraction
    • Why Integrators create clarity, systems, accountability, and measurable results
    • How to build trust between these two very different leadership styles
    • Why your right-hand person shouldn’t think exactly like you
    • The questions every owner should ask themselves before trying to scale
Because the goal isn’t to find someone who agrees with everything you say.

The goal is to find someone whose strengths fill the gaps in yours.

  • The Practice Growth Marketing Plan
    2026/08/17
In this episode of The Wealthy Practitioner Podcast, Gabrielle is talking about one of the biggest mistakes practitioners make as they head into the second half of the year: taking their foot off the gas when they should be building momentum.

Because your Q4 isn’t built in Q4. It’s built right now.

Gabrielle shares why CEO days matter, how she’s using storytelling in her own marketing, and why the stories you tell can be far more powerful than simply sharing facts about what you do. She also breaks down a simple framework for capturing patient and client stories that actually connect with the people you want to reach.

Then, she walks you through how to audit your marketing going into Q3 and Q4: identifying where your best leads are already coming from, finding ways to get another 5–10 people from what’s already working, and recognizing the marketing channels you may be underutilizing.

You’ll also learn what to consider when building your marketing calendar—from seasonal opportunities and strategic partnerships to campaigns, events, lead magnets, patient appreciation, and the business goal that should be driving your marketing each month.

Your Q4 is being built right now. The question is: are you intentionally building it?

And if you’re ready to stop guessing and create real momentum heading into the rest of the year, join us for our 5-Day Grow Your Practice Challenge.

We’re spending five days helping you get clear, get confident, and make the moves that can change the trajectory of your practice before the end of the year.

  • The Blue Angels: What Elite Teams Understand About Excellence
    2026/08/10
The world thinks the Blue Angels are a story about talent.

They're actually a story about standards.

After watching the Blue Angels for the first time, I couldn't stop asking one question: How?

How do six pilots fly just inches apart at hundreds of miles an hour? How do they trust each other enough to make something so dangerous look effortless?

The deeper I dug into their story, the more I realized the real performance isn't the 45-minute air show.

It's the thousands of hours of preparation no one ever sees.

In this episode, we're diving into the hidden world behind one of the most elite teams on the planet—and the leadership lessons every business owner can learn from the way they prepare, train, communicate, and pursue excellence.

    In This Episode:
    • The surprising reason the Blue Angels were created after World War II
    • Why they relocate to El Centro, California every winter
    • What 120+ practice demonstrations teach us about preparation
    • The role of each Blue Angel pilot—and why role clarity matters
    • How new pilots are selected (it's not just about talent)
    • Why communication during the show is almost silent
    • The importance of debriefing after every performance
    • Why the public sees talent, but elite teams see standards
If you've ever wondered what separates good from truly exceptional, this episode is for you.

Because excellence isn't built when the crowd is watching. It's built in the standards you refuse to lower when no one is.

  • Inside the Mind of a CEO
    2026/08/03
Join our free masterclass, tomorrow August 4th at 1pm EST!

You never know who’s sitting at your table.

One unexpected dinner turned into a masterclass on leadership, culture, and building a business people actually want to be part of. In this episode, Alejandro shares the powerful lessons he learned after spending four hours talking with the CEO of one of Texas' largest banks—and why those principles apply just as much to your practice as they do to a billion-dollar company.

From the science of "collisions" to the importance of proximity, mission, vision, core values, and creating opportunities for your team, this episode will challenge the way you think about leadership and growth.

    In this episode, you'll learn:
    • Why every room you enter has the potential to change your life.
    • The surprising story of a CEO who applied to the same bank nine times before getting hired.
    • How great leaders create a vision that people want to grow into.
    • Why relationships—not transactions—create long-term success.
    • How to build a culture where your team takes ownership instead of passing problems.
    • The importance of hiring, promoting, and even firing based on your core values.
    • Why your ideal patients should immediately feel like they belong when they walk into your office.
    • How proximity to the right people can completely change the trajectory of your business.

    Key Takeaway

Growth rarely happens in isolation. The conversations you almost skip, the events you don't feel like attending, and the people you haven't met yet often become the catalyst for your next breakthrough. Get in the room. Stay curious. Ask better questions. You never know which conversation will change everything
