The stories of all who have displayed a measure of kindness toward the value of human life in an era of the darkest of times. The resilience of the human spirit to never give up. The greatest test is to show unconditional compassion and even lose one's life in a selfless act for a greater cause than one's own. The faces in the black and white photographs leave a legacy that will continue to inspire us always to do what is right and never take our freedoms for granted.Luna Day 世界

In this episode, I had the privilege to sit down and interview Mike Croissant and talk about his book, Bombing Hitler's Hometown. Here is a brief preview of what is in the book. In April 1945 Linz was one of Germany's most vital assets, in their unheated, unpressurized B-24 Liberators & B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers. When anti-aircraft guns opened fire, they flew into a man-made hell of exploding shrapnel. Mike's strong connection to this story is that his Uncle First Lieutenant Ellsworth Croissant is a bombardier in the 459th Bomb group. Truly phenomenal story well-written and a true page-turner!
