Tape 81 finds Bootstuck trying to make sense of salmon “running,” only to conclude that their own salmon must be squiggling, wheeling and jumping over logs because they don't have legs. From there, a discussion about Snow White and Shrek leads to an unexpected encounter in the woods, followed by a lightning storm that sends everyone running around with buckets on their heads for protection. New shoes, questionable VHS tapes and a movie they haven't finished watching round out another perfectly sensible day in the Stuck.

Tape 80 is another perfectly normal day in Bootstuck, where Dollar Bill is struggling with currency, Mickey Mouse is apparently coming to town, and the locals have somehow run out of fish despite living beside a lake full of them. Things get increasingly confused as fish are declared useless, Mickey's arrival is planned using paper and folding, and nobody can quite explain where anything comes from — or why Bootstuck appears to be on everyone else's no-fly list. The episode ends, naturally, with a mysterious radio transmission and absolutely no answers.

Bootstuck tackles two of history's greatest mysteries: the Bermuda Triangle and quicksand—and somehow leaves everyone even more confused. What starts as a discussion about disappearing ships quickly turns into a debate over geometric shapes, square dancing, and whether the safest solution is simply to build your own triangle and tell people to stay away.

When the conversation drifts to helicopters and Black Hawk Down, the residents abandon science altogether in favor of an impromptu dance lesson that ends exactly as you'd expect: with Don injuring himself and absolutely nothing being learned.
