The So Many Games Podcast is a monthly show produced by the team behind the video game review website So Many Games. Hosted by Jason, we invite video game creators to talk about their craft and the games they’ve made.

Usually concentrating on the guest’s background in game development, the creative process behind their project, and their thoughts on game design and the industry.

We hope this is a place to come for developers to shine a light on their game through deep and meaningful conversation and for listeners to learn some new facts behind their favourite games.

We would like to thank Julian for spending some of his spare time to talk with us.

  • #21 | The Incident at Galley House with Robin Ward
    2026/08/21

The Incident at Galley House really caught our attention not only for its mysterious plotline, fun and involving mechanics, and tremendous hint system but also for the history behind it, so when we had the chance to speak with Evil Trout founder and lead developer Robin Ward about the game's development, we jumped at the chance.

In our conversation we delve into many of these subjects, The Roottrees are Dead, and much more!

We would like to thank Robin for spending some of his spare time to talk with us.

  • #20 | Feed the Scorchpot & QA in Gaming with Jakub Pernes, Josh Chiodo & Paul James
    2026/08/10

Episode 20 brings two interviews in one episode.

Firstly, we speak with Josh and Jakub on the upcoming Balatro-like game, Feed the Scorchpot. This is Jakub's first game, and from what we have heard so far, it sounds like he has really captured the magic of Balatro with new mechanics and an engaging hook.

People involved in QA in gaming are unsung heroes, carrying out such incredible work for games and hardly receiving any recognition for their hard work and contributions. We have wanted to highlight this important part of game development for some time, so we were extremely pleased when Paul James agreed to jump on to share his experiences and what actually goes into QA in gaming for our second interview.

We would like to thank Josh, Jakub, and Paul for their kindness in sharing their spare time with us to talk about their projects.
