In this episode of The Sideline Social, I'm looking beyond the Women's Super League to explore life further down the women's football pyramid. From the financial struggles and facilities that clubs face to the players balancing football with work, education and everyday life, there's so much more to the women's game than what we see at the top.

I'll also be discussing the importance of grassroots football, the challenges of attracting supporters, and what needs to happen to give clubs outside the top flight a better chance to grow.

Because if we want women's football to keep moving forward, we need to look at the whole game, not just the biggest clubs.

But it’s not as simple as saying money has ruined football. Modern football has also brought bigger stadiums, better facilities, improved academies, women’s football, global audiences and opportunities that simply wouldn’t have existed before.
