In this episode, I'm sharing a beautiful contemplative practice that has transformed my relationship with Jesus and brought profound visions, healing, and a deeper understanding of my own life.

Because when we enter into the mysteries of Christ, Jesus meets us there. And as we walk through His story with Him, He begins to walk us through our own, revealing where He has been present all along.

I'll share how you can begin this practice yourself, along with some of my personal experiences, and then guide you through a mini meditation on the Resurrection from John 20.

Sometimes you can leave the abuse, but the patterns you developed while surviving it can follow you long after it's over.

In this final episode of my Healing from Abuse series, I'm sharing three ways I've seen this show up in my own healing and in the women I work with- from realizing the voice in your head sounds a lot like your abuser, to finding yourself repeating similar dynamics with completely different people, to coping mechanisms you once needed to survive that may now be holding you back.

We'll talk about how to recognize these patterns without shaming yourself for them, renew your mind with God's truth, and begin creating new patterns that align with your truest, fullest self.

Forgiveness after abuse can feel impossible- especially when the person who hurt you never apologized, took accountability, or understood the impact of what they did. But forgiveness isn't about excusing abuse or pretending it didn't hurt. It's about setting yourself free.

In this episode of The Sarah Renee Show, I'm continuing my Healing from Abuse series with a conversation about resentment, forgiveness, and releasing what may still be keeping you connected to the pain of the past. I share what God has shown me through my spiritual gifts about how parts of us can remain stuck in painful experiences, holding onto anger, grief, resentment, or a need for justice, and how forgiveness can help us reclaim those parts of ourselves and surrender the burden to God.

I'll also share practical forgiveness exercises to help you release resentment, forgive yourself, and even work through anger you may be carrying toward God. Forgiveness is a process. It doesn't require reconciliation, minimizing what happened, or denying your pain. It's about releasing what was never meant to remain yours to carry.
