In Daniel 3:1-3, Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon commanded that a golden image of himself be erected. He then held a dedication ceremony in honor of this image. Interestingly enough, this is the only account "in the Bible" of someone making a golden image of himself. Certainly, other power-mad despots demanded worship, but not everyone erects golden images of himself.In the not too distant future, the antichrist will also erect an image of himself as well. The prophet Daniel and the Book of Revelation gives several characteristics of the coming Antichrist. Though Trump does not fulfill all the criteria for the Antichrist, his outrageous behavior and lying tongue makes him a serious forerunner of the Antichrist to come. In the Mount Olivet discourse, Jesus addressed his disciples regarding apocalyptic events, describing stars falling from the sky and the powers of heaven being shaken.
