    September was full of great new records from artists such as Suede, David Byrne, Saint Ettienne, Red Rum Club and many more.

    Lots of pre orders announced too, including records to look forward to from Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Shed Seven, Pulp, Blur and Dido!

    Iain also shares his exciting vinyl news that he is opening a record shop in Sunderland called Roker Records.

    On this week's episode of The Record Collectors Club Conversations Podcast, Iain is joined by one of his favourite artists from the past few years, ahead of seeing her perform at her sell out show at Pop Recs in Sunderland, Kate Stables.

    Kate, or more commonly known as her stage alias This Is The Kit, has been a constant in the UK Folk music scene for a number of years now releasing six studio records and a number of Eps and singles over almost two decades of recording music.

    Kate and Iain discuss her record collection and inspiration over the years for writing her music, life on the road as a touring artist, collaborating with bands such as The National and her upcoming concerts with Jessica Hoop playing the music of Joni Mitchell.

    On this weeks episode of The Record Collectors Club Conversations Podcast, Iain is joined by a man who really knows his music and his vinyl records.

    Richard Morton Jack is a music historian and biographer and has written a number of bestselling books across many music genres. Whether it be dipping into the history of both British and American Psych music or telling the story of the tortured soul that was Nick Drake, Richard researches and writes to the most minute detail making his books must have’s for any music fan’s library.

    He also has a new book due out very soon documenting the history of rock band Led Zeppelin. Richard also has had a hand in some definitive reissues of some of the best and rarest Classic Rock, Jazz and Folk albums.

    Across this episode, Richard and Iain dive into his record collection in detail, talking about rare records and crazy finds and stories that Richard recalled from his decades of collecting records.

    Of course they dip into his past books too and discuss that upcoming book about the famous Led Zeppelin!

    This weeks episode is very special as the guest joining Iain on today's podcast episode is a member of the E Street Band, Barry Danielian.

    Barry has been a member of the E Street Band for a number of years now playing Trumpet alongside Bruce Springsteen and the rest of the band all around the world

    He’s also toured with countless huge names including Billy Joel, Tower of Power, Queen Latifah and Barbara Streisand too and played music on hundreds of records.

    Barry & Iain discuss his musical origins, how he got started with the trumpet and playing Jazz music with some of the greats. The main focus of the episode is Barry's relationship with Bruce Springsteen, how he got to be a member of the E Street Band and they discuss the recent three years of touring the world with Bruce and the band.

    This is a very special episode and please enjoy a deeper insight into what it's like playing with one of the greatest performers ever to walk the planet.

    Amelia is a folk singer hailing from Middlesbrough who has been causing quite the
    stir recently in the UK music scene, gaining attention and praise from many music
    critics and fellow artists including huge names like Paul Weller!

    She's just collaborated with Weller on his recent record, worked with Bill Ryder Jones on her own solo debut record that came out last year and she's just starting on her follow up record amongst plans to tour in 2025 in some amazing venues in the UK.

    Amelia and Iain also discuss her record collection and the process of new artists getting their music pressed onto vinyl.
