Joshua, alongside NikiMarie of 'NikiMarie Radio' who helped conduct the interview welcomes the audience to William Person: a former Team USA bobsledder who now has taken up one of the most powerful missions around: helping potential CTE patients while raising awareness on its crippling symptoms and even battling the powers-that-be in a the court of law to do so. CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that gained widespread notoriety through Nigerian-American neuropathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu and his work in studying the disease in diseased pro football players. CTE carries a range of troubling symptoms which include deteriorations in mood/behavior, cognitive function, motor function, and even sleep. Will discusses his personal CTE realization and how trauma from all angles led to him picking up this cause. He discusses a range of topics, including the Midtown shooter (Shane Tamura) and his CTE diagnosis, his work alongside pro athletes Joe Namath, Emmitt Smith and others, the effectiveness of hyperbaric chambers in treating CTE, and even the potential misdiagnosis of one of the world's most notorious stars, Kanye West.
