  • How To Enjoy An Imperfect Christmas
    2022/12/23

Welcome to the Christmas weekend!  we all desire to have the picture perfect Christmas. but how do you manage when your Christmas feels imperfect.

    • Despite the holiday season often being portrayed as perfect, it can also be filled with imperfect moments.
When the holidays come around, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the expectations that come with the season. We want to have a perfect Christmas - a picture-perfect tree, presents under the tree, and the perfect family gathering. But the truth is, a perfect Christmas isn’t always possible.

    • You may have different expectations of the holiday season, and often those expectations can lead to disappointment.
It’s important to remember that an imperfect Christmas can still be a wonderful one.

    • How to learn to accept the imperfections of the holiday season, and how those imperfections can actually add to the beauty of the season.

Instead of trying to force a perfect Christmas, focus on what truly matters: Mainly, the celebration of the savior of the world, Jesus. but also spending quality time with your loved ones. Whether it’s a small gathering or a virtual celebration, it’s important to cherish the time you have with each other.

Take the pressure off and enjoy the simple things. Bake Christmas cookies, watch seasonal movies, and make handmade decorations. These activities are not only fun, but they’re also a great way to create lasting memories.Christmas doesn’t have to be perfect - it just has to be memorable. Find joy in the little things and make this holiday season one to remember.

    2022/12/19

"Push Through" is a phrase used to describe a situation in which someone is determined to succeed despite any obstacles or difficulties standing in the way. It implies a strong will and attitude, and a refusal to give up. It is often used to encourage someone to keep going and reach their goals.

If you watched the Vikings game on Saturday, 12/19/2022, you know that they made history, coming back from a 33 point deficit to win the game.

  • Monday Motivation "Be a Thermostat not a Thermometer"
    2022/12/12

I'm standing here in my hallway today. This right here is a thermostat, and this is a thermometer. One of them is the thermostat, which you can adjust and which allows you to adjust the temperature in your house, so you have control over it. The thermometer just reads your temperature and gives you a correct reading.

This is my motivation for today. Are you managing your life as if you were a thermostat or a thermometer? Do you feel like you are in control of most of what goes on in your life, or are you just reacting to everything that is going on around you? Are you reacting negatively toward people who are negative around you? You could feel it by listening to the news; you could feel it just by thinking about the next year. Whatever it is, you can be a thermostat that dictates how your life will go and controls the temperature of your life, or you can just randomly respond to things that are happening.

That is my motivation for you this week, and what I want you to do is identify areas in your life where you feel more like a thermometer than a thermostat by 2023. Identify ways to shift from being a thermometer to being a thermostat. Identify areas of your life that you can change and control, and take a few steps this week to make those thermostat changes.

  • Monday Motivation "Check Your Systems"
    2022/12/05

I was digging through our medicine cabinet, and I found a pill box. It has a slot scheduled for every day of the week, from Sunday through Saturday. I remember my grandmother having one of these and thinking, "That's for old people!" They would put all of their medication for each day in the slots.

Well, Kellie and I have these now, but they're not for medication. We do nutritional supplementation on certain days of the week.

I got to thinking, "You know, this represents something that we all need in the pill box." It represents good systems in our lives. There are things we do every day that are part of a system, and systems create behavior. Yes! It’s true!

    Behavior is created by systems.

The motivation I have for you this week, especially with the new year approaching, is to consider the systems you have in place in your life, at work, or in your business. Are they simple like this, or are they too complicated to follow?

Whatever those systems are, this is a good time of year to go back and check to see if your systems are set up correctly.

Is there, for example, a specific system for you to work out every morning to get your mind right about the day? Is there a wind-down time in the evenings? What are the systems throughout your week that you need to put in place or that you have in place but need to revisit?

Remember to visit PivotPreneur.com or ToddStocker.com for more Monday morning motivation.

Also, my course is finished! It's going to the final review right now, and it’s "Five steps to work you love." Watch for more!

  • 6 Step Change Formula
    2022/12/02

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act. The rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward."—Amelia Earhart

A pivot is the movement into something that fits your hardwiring better.  (FREE HARDWIRE SURVEY AT TODDSTOCKER.COM OR PIVOTPRENEUR.COM). A side-hustle is something that you enjoy doing that is not part of your normal job.  If you’re feeling like it’s time for a change into something that gives you more life (and maybe more income), that the movement toward that is a pivot.
