This time round I’m joined by Chaz Josephs and Toni Woodrow for a conversation about how the hands on skills and experience they developed in front line roles are proving invaluable in their current positions.
Chaz, a former soldier in the army, is now a Senior HR Business Partner. And having spent time as a prison officer, and working with sex offenders in prisons, Toni now works in our Professional Behaviours Unit.
Providing opportunities to grow is one of the themes underpinning our People Strategy. This is all about learning and career pathways in the department, and applies just as much to us in People Group as anywhere else across the MoJ. So it was really positive to hear about the opportunities both Chaz and Toni had to build their knowledge, new skills and progress.
We even squeezed in some chat about Christmas traditions and dealing with the combination of kittens and Christmas trees…
