The People’s Podcast is a raw, community-driven mental health podcast where real conversations replace silence. We explore the unseen truths behind trauma, addiction, recovery, relationships, parenting, justice, and the systems that shape our lives. This is a space where lived experience matters, accountability meets compassion, and hard topics are approached without judgment.

Each episode centers on honest dialogue, listener voices, and perspectives often ignored by mainstream conversations. From generational pain to healing, from systemic impact to personal responsibility, we focus on growth through understanding rather than shame.

We advocate for mental health awareness, recovery in all forms of addiction, and open expression for voices that deserve to be heard. This podcast exists for the people navigating life’s hardest moments and searching for meaning, clarity, and connection.

  • Week 3 of the 8-Week Journey: Words Hurt | Communication & Emotional Safety
    2026/03/11

Tonight’s community conversation from The People’s Podcast continues our 8-week healing journey with Week 3.

Our focus tonight is something simple that carries deep impact: words hurt.

Many people grow up hearing that words should not affect them. Yet most people can remember a sentence, a comment, or a moment that stayed with them for years.

Words shape how people see themselves. Words influence how relationships grow. Words create either emotional safety or emotional harm.

During this gathering we explored how communication patterns develop, why hurtful words often stay with people long after they are spoken, and how becoming aware of the language we use can help create healthier relationships and stronger connections.

We also began introducing the next step in Week 3 of our journey. In our next discussion we will explore a deeper question that grows directly from tonight’s conversation: Do I feel safe? Understanding emotional safety helps people recognize the environments and relationships that support honesty, respect, and personal growth.

This is The People’s Podcast — we’re the ears that listen, where your opinion matters.
