  • Walking for a cause!!!
    2023/05/19

This episode I talk with my good friend Jose Torres.

Jose has been walking in the AIDS Walk in New York City since 1994. This is what he says:

"AIDS isn't nameless or faceless. They are our Mothers & Fathers, Sons & Daughters, Brother & Sisters..... and Aunts. I lost mine & I walk in hopes we can raise enough money to fund enough research to find a cure and also help those living through it.

Walking in memory of my beloved "Titi Edith"

Listen to Jose tell a bit about himself, his adventures and why he continues walking for a cause for the last 30 years.

  • Tales from a "serial entrepreneur"
    2023/04/30

On this episode of The Patched Overalls Experience Podcast, we get to hear from Cassandra Bae!!

Cassandra is a Digital Marketer and is capable of filling many different roles. This is because she is what I call a “serial entrepreneur.”

We discuss her educational background in technology, trades and history. How that led to working in television, and then to creating her own companies.

Listen to Cassandra tell the tale of how her family was evacuated before a deadly volcano eruption in the Philippines to find a home in Hawaii.

She was even Captain of her high school wrestling team and founded the Moanalua High School Girls wrestling scholarship.

It seems she has done it all and has some great insights on following her passion to be her own boss and create the life she really wants.

Learn more about Cassandra and all of the work she is involved in at cassandrabae.com

    2022/12/09

My guest for this episode is Natalie Heberlie.

Natalie is another Ste. Genevieve native as well as a world traveler and author. At least that is what I thought…….

Natalie and I had not spoken in over 20 years, but I found out that she had done so much more since we last spoke.

Listen to a few of Natalie adventures, her projects and the inspiration behind her book “The Lion Protector” (based on the 1st all female anti-poaching ranger group based in Kenya).

    https://www.lionprotector.com/

(Proceeds from the sale of the book go to help fund Kenya’s Amboseli National Park rangers in their anti-poaching and conservation efforts.)

  • Once upon a time.......and now I have an Emmy
    2022/11/22

My guest for this episode is Kyle Olson.

Kyle is a director, producer and Emmy award winning documentarian. He also happens to be one of the nicest people that I ever worked with. All of this while sporting the best aloha shirts too.

Kyle was lucky enough to discover his passion for storytelling at a very young age and has cultivated that passion throughout his life and career.

Listen to Kyle tell his story and the process of creating The Last Signal, the true story of 2 WWII veterans reuniting after 70 years. The story that led to his first Emmy (because I am sure there will be more in his future).
