It’s been a minute since we’ve released an episode, we recorded this a while back but life happened to us and that’s okay, we’re here now! We are coming to you from our humble abodes to chat about the stars! This is a two-parter about Astrology, this being the part 1 of 2. Kymmie brings you the research about Western, Chinese, and Vedic Astrology, and we discuss how we incorporate Astrology and horoscopes into our lives. The two of us are turning into spiritual girlies and want to find more meaning out of life. Enjoy and stay tuned for Part 2!!!

We bring it down to a more serious level this week with a big discussion about social media. We give a brief history on the types of social media that we’ve seen in our lifetime beginning with MySpace and even a shoutout to AOL Instant Messenger. Social Media has shaped how we grew up and it continues to have a presence in our lives and how we connect. After what some might consider a negative review of social media…we are considering that The Next Thing for our podcast would be to develop a social media presence! *cue panic* We know it’s not all bad, after all there are memories, cute videos, creative dances, great recipes, ASMR, and dumb shit that makes us smile. It’s just important to find balance for your mental health. Special mention: Love is Blind Season 4 spoilers ahead! It's time to learn on The Next Thing! We are focused on Bog Bodies in this episode, and whoa baby, this one was all over the place! Never heard of a bog body? Be prepared to be hit with facts AND history, even some case studies. We both did research this week to bring you info about this wild phenomenon. You'll learn more than you ever wanted to know about peat and the additional items you can preserve in bogs from Tori, and from Kymmie you'll learn about the most famous bog bodies, who they were, and some thrilling facts about Kings. We also introduce a new rating scale on this episode for when we learn new things! Please enjoy the doozy that is this episode and a quick trigger warning for discussion of human sacrifice. For Kymmie’s birthday we went to a pottery class where we attempted to throw bowls and learned about the process of using a pottery wheel. Spoiler alert, it’s a lot harder than we thought, but it was therapeutic, meditative, and taught us how to let go of control. We quickly learned that pottery is incredibly sexual (we know you’ve seen those videos on TikTok!) Tori has a real Bill Nye moment and Kymmie tries to focus by listening with her eyes. We highly recommend trying out a class if you want to slappa de clay! We were a little early for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, but that's okay, being aware of your risk is extremely important! Our Next Thing was recounting our colonoscopies! We both have a significant family history of colon cancer and on this episode we walk you through (quite in depth) our prep, the main event, and of course the meal after. Tori will hit you with some history and facts about colorectal cancer and Kymmie explains her renewed faith in her sphincter. Trigger warning for a shit ton of poop and butt hole related content. GO GET SCREENED!

Put on your skating boots and get ready for a wild ride of topics! We jumped on here to talk about Trampoline Parks (note the pun!) and how humbling they are when you are in your 30's. Tori was a trampoline park first-timer and trampolines might be Kymmie's achilles heel, either way gravity was not gentle with us. We've introduced a new rating scale to The Next Thing - do it again? Or never touch it. Come along as our trains of thought leave the station...often. Special mention: Kymmie can make the most accurate Noise Toy sound, you shouldn't miss it!
