If someone were to ask you if being proud, or prideful was a bad thing, how would you respond? After all, aren’t we proud parents? Aren’t we proud to be born where we were? Or aren’t we proud to be a child of God? I’d say those aren’t bad things to be proud of! So how then do we know where the line is so-to-speak that crosses over into being a hot-head?

In today’s message, I’m going to share some simple insight God gave that is sadly far too often overlooked and/or scoffed at, which comes from the book of Micah 6:6-8. And the reason we overlook it or scoff at it is because we lack what is required of us, thus the necessary self-examination by doing a pride-check.

We've all had someone do something to upset us, rather if it was a joke that was made at our expense, or perhaps something off the charts that traumatized us. Either way, our human nature wants to hold a grudge and not forgive the offending person.

In today's message, I'm going to discuss the Gospel of Matthew 18:15-22 where Jesus talks about when someone has sinned against you, or has hurt you. And He does this because He knew before time ever existed that people wouldn't always get along, that we would hurt each other, especially in the church, thus His outline of instructions to follow in order to win our brother or sister back so that fellowship could resume as soon as possible.

Marriages still sadly suffer, even Christian marriages. However, that was not by God's design. What was by God's design was a specific and strategic role for each spouse, so that the marriage would be blessed and empowered, in which the role for a wife was discussed in part 2, that being to submit to her husband - not when things are beneficial to her circumstances or situations, but in everything while demonstrating a gentle and quiet spirit as she also prioritizes her home and family.

In today's message, I'm going to wrap up Paul's roles for each spouse in Ephesians 5:25-33 where it now focuses on the husband and his expectations. By the way, like Paul emphasized one word to the wives, he also emphasizes one word to the husbands which is love. The problem however, is that the word love is often thrown around and/or terribly displayed, making it extremely difficult for the wives to submit to her husband, thus the ongoing conflict, cold-shoulders, and contempt from both sides.

Sadly, behaving like this is basically how we give Satan rope to hang ourselves with so to speak, to suffocate and cut-off any blessings to the point we don't just ruin our relationship with God, but that we greatly skew the younger generations visions and expectations of what God intended for them as well.
