  • Launching a community radio station - Part 1
    2026/05/01

The Media Mentor podcast is where I offer media career guidance and share experiences and expertise from the creative industries.

This week I discuss community radio with student Izzy Brown. In the first part of two episodes about community radio, she asks some of the key questions about setting up a station and what you need to consider. Izzy wants to launch a station in south-east London and has plenty to ask.

Each week I share jobs and advice online about media careers and offer one-to-one sessions. If you are looking to expand your portfolio of work but concerned about your CV or need help with cover letters and interviews - then mentoring sessions are available via the website.

There are also 6 pages of media jobs to browse and a WhatsApp channel for job alerts.
