Stories. Strategy. Soul. And possibly a snack. Welcome to The Maria Method, the podcast where your overthinking takes a coffee break and your inner boss witch clocks in. I’m Maria: writer, strategist, ex-corporate escapee, full-time overachiever with trust issues and this? This is my audio playground slash life lab slash accountability Tita hotline. We talk mindset (but make it sharp). Strategy (but make it sexy). Boundaries (but make it scary-in-a-good-way). It's business, but it's personal. Every episode drops a little realness, a little rhythm, and a lot of permission to own it.Maria Franco 個人的成功 自己啓発

  • Episode 3: My Career Has Been Training for AI This Whole Time?!
    2026/08/29

a.k.a. My résumé finally explains itself

So I was talking to our developer about AI… and somehow ended up opening my résumé.

    Bad idea. 😂

Twenty-plus years of work later... obviously, I’ve been a secretary, call center agent, market researcher, transcriptionist, writer, business owner, barangay councilor, project manager, podcast host, systems person, and whatever else looked interesting enough to become a side quest.

For years, I thought my career was just all over the place.

    Then AI showed up.

And suddenly, all those random jobs started making a weird amount of sense.

    We’re getting into:

🧠 The “Wait… I Know That Feeling” Moment

That instinct you develop after doing something long enough to know when something is wrong before you can even explain why.

⌨️ What the Job Actually Taught Me

Transcription wasn’t only typing. Customer service wasn’t only answering calls. Every job left behind something that turned out to be useful later.

🤖 What AI Can Do vs. What Experience Brings

AI can write, code, transcribe, research, and automate a ridiculous amount of work. But context, judgment, timing, pattern recognition, and knowing when the machine is confidently wrong? That part gets interesting.

This episode is basically me realizing, in real time, that my very non-linear career may have been building a stack of skills all along.

    Was it planned?

Absolutely not. Let’s not rewrite history. 😆

But maybe that’s the reassuring part. We don’t meet every new tool, career shift, or technological plot twist as beginners. We bring all the weird jobs, mistakes, difficult clients, side quests, and years of figuring things out with us.

So press play if AI has ever made you wonder whether the things you spent years learning still matter.

Spoiler: I think they do. Just maybe not in the way we originally thought.

🔥 LIKE if your résumé also looks like several different people used the same account.

💬 COMMENT: What random job or skill from your past still helps you today?

  • Episode 2: Remote Work Isn't What You Think
    2026/03/25

a.k.a. Freedom… but Make It Slightly Exhausting

So let’s talk about remote work.

    You know… the dream.

    The flexible schedule.

The “I can work from anywhere” lifestyle that had us all like yes, this is the life.

    Yeah… about that.

In this episode, we’re unpacking the version no one posts about. The one where your laptop follows you everywhere, your brain never fully clocks out, and “flexible” somehow turns into “always available.” Murag ikaw na ang boss… pero ikaw sad ang pinaka-strict nga manager. 😅

    We’re getting into:

🧠 The Realization – When it hits you that no one is overworking you… ikaw ra diay. You built this schedule. You said yes. You kept going. Oof.

The Principle – Remote work isn’t hard because no one’s managing you… it’s hard because now you have to manage yourself. And if wala kay boundaries? Good luck, besh.

📌 The Shifts – The small but powerful changes that actually make this lifestyle sustainable:

    • Just because you can work… doesn’t mean you should

    • Structure isn’t your enemy… it’s support

    • Balance isn’t automatic… it's intentional

And yes… we’re talking about that quiet burnout. The kind that doesn’t scream… it just sits there while you open “one more tab.”

This episode is basically a soft intervention. The kind where we look at our calendar, sip our coffee, and admit… “okay, medyo ako ni tanan.”

    Because remote work is freedom.

But only if you know when to stop.

So press play… and maybe, just maybe, close your laptop on time today. (We’ll see. No pressure. But also… a little pressure. 😏)

🔥 Hit LIKE if you’ve ever said “last task na lang” and suddenly it’s 3AM.

💬 COMMENT your remote work reality—freedom or burnout? Be honest.

  • Episode 1: Own It
    2025/06/28

A Love Letter to Your Inner Boss Witch (Who Sometimes Cries in the Shower, and That’s Fine)

Welcome to The Maria Method—where the advice is spicy, the truth is roasted like your 3rd cup of coffee, and the vibe is main character energy meets “wait, am I the drama?” (Spoiler: yes. And you’re also the solution.)

In this iconic first episode… aka the podcast baby you didn’t know you needed… we’re talking about my personal religion: OWNING IT.

Not metaphorically. Not someday-when-you’re-ready. I mean owning it like your name is on the deed and your ancestors are watching.

    We’re getting into:

    🧠 The Mindset

When the doubt kicks in and you’re about to downplay your rate, your voice, or your whole existence… pause. Take a breath. Then do it anyway.

    💥 The Responsibility

Because sometimes you’re the reason the launch flopped. And you still have to send the email. Ouch. But growth.

    👑 The Power

The kind you claim when you unmute yourself in a Zoom call and everyone suddenly shuts up to listen. That kind.

Oh, and yes… I say “dili ko expert” and “murag gi-unplug ang internet sa universe” in this episode. Because this is a safe space for Bisaya hot takes, forehead sweat, and leadership glow-ups.

This show is basically if your group chat had a baby with a TED Talk… and then that baby grew up to be your business therapist, personal hypewoman, and accountability tita who brings snacks and sarcasm.

So hit play. Then hit replay. And then maybe go raise your rates, fix that client boundary, or finally buy a damn dishwasher. (JK, you are the dishwasher. But you deserve nice things.)

🔥 Hit LIKE if you’ve ever quoted a rate that made you sweat.

💬 COMMENT your “own it” moment… messy or magical, we want it.

📩 SUBSCRIBE so you don’t miss the rest of this unhinged, heart-powered journey.
