  • If We Lose the House, Do We Lose Our Faith?
    2026/10/20

What happens to a Christian’s faith if their side loses the 2026 midterm elections? With Election Day two weeks away and Republicans trailing on the generic ballot, pastor, attorney and political commentator Marc Little turns to Hebrews 11:6: “And without faith it is impossible to please God.”

Marc explains what the verse assumes before it ever mentions faith. He shows why the word “impossible” puts pleasing God in the same category as God lying, and why a Christian’s vote is a duty and not a verdict. He also shares how watching his own father provide shaped the way he understood faith, and how Romans 8:15 corrected a walk built on fear instead of sonship.

    In this episode:

    • Two wrong reactions to Election Day: despair and idolatry
    • Moving our hope from the throne to our Congress
    • Faith as assurance about what we do not see
    • Why the faithful in Hebrews 11 did not all receive what was promised
    • Four marks of faith on November 4: trust, intimacy, calling and authority
    • Christians as Christ’s ambassadors, aligned with candidates but not defined by them

  • The Ballot Box Is Not A Bible Study
    2026/10/13

Should a Christian vote for a flawed candidate? With the 2026 midterm elections weeks away, Pastor Marc Little asks what a believer owes the ballot box, and he answers it as a pastor, a lawyer and a political commentator.

Marc opens with the scoreboard: the generic ballot, the Senate map, and the races that will decide control in Texas, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Maine, Alaska and Kansas. He explains why Democrats lead on the cost of living, why Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed could not say Iran is a threat, and what the rise of the Democratic Socialists of America means for voters. He then names four things on the ballot besides affordability: religious liberty, the border, law and order, and women’s sports.

From Matthew 5, Marc makes the case that salt and light do nothing from a distance, and that voting is a duty for a Christian. He takes on the harder question of the morally imperfect candidate, drawing on Jethro’s counsel to Moses, Romans 3:23, and Cyrus, the pagan king God called His anointed.

The episode ends in Texas, where James Talarico and Ken Paxton are in a dead heat for the United States Senate. Marc defines apostasy, reads Talarico’s own words about God and Christianity, states Paxton’s marital scandal plainly, and explains why he votes the record. There is no virtuous party in this country. The ballot box and a Bible study are two different things.

  • Do Christians Have to Pray for Evil People?
    2026/10/06

Does the Bible tell Christians to pray for someone who did something evil? Pastor Marc Little reads six passages, three that seem to say stop and three that say pray, and leaves the verdict with the listener.

The question comes from the Lindsay Clancy case, where three children are dead. If the church prays for her, what should it pray for? Should it pray for her at all? Marc puts both questions to Scripture. Jeremiah 7:16, John 17:9 and 1 John 5:16 seem to close the door on prayer. Luke 23:34, Matthew 5:44 and Jeremiah 29:7 point the other way. Stephen's last words, Paul's own history, Romans 1 and 2, and 1 Timothy 2 pull the two sides together into a conundrum no decent person can wave off.

There is no recited prayer and no easy answer. The text challenges, and the listener decides. Marc believes she should answer to the full weight of the law, and he is honest about how hard it is to pray for her.

    Scripture references (NIV): Romans 1:28, 1:32, 2:1, 2:4. Jeremiah 7:16, 29:7. John 17:9. 1 John 5:16. Luke 23:34. Matthew 5:44. Acts 7:60, 8:1. 1 Timothy 1:13, 2:1-4. 1 Samuel 15:23.
