Joan Benoit Samuelson sums Rob up best, “His mentoring of young and aspiring athletes has been steadfast, unyielding, passionate, and inspiring.” Rob is a 2 time state champion in cross country, representing Maine School of Science and Mathematics. He attended Bates College where he found lots of success as an endurance athlete. He has run five marathons under 2:25, this includes winning the Maine Marathon in 2013. Rob has 2 top 40 finishes at the prestigious Boston Marathon. He is quite the talented athlete but he is SO much more than a runner. He started his coaching business- Eastern Shore Training- where he combines his knowledge and passion for the sport to help guide other runners to success. He has a joy for the process and the process is always changing. It was another wonderful shakeout, with a top notch local legend.

She currently attends and runs cross country and track at Rice University. We took the time in this episode to talk to Emma about her research on RED-S.
