Today we profess the teaching of the church that our Amazing, Awesome, and Majestic God has revealed Himself to us in scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As we read Psalm 8, we also compare our heavenly father to our earthly fathers.

Today is a special day in the church, where we celebrate two things: 1. Pentecost - the day the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples to preach the Gospel to many nations, and 2. Confirmation Sunday - a day when we watch our confirmands stand before God and His church, confess their faith and the promises God made to them in their baptism, and express their desire to continue in this faith and journey with Jesus.

We rejoice that God has once again brought us to faith in Christ, the crucified and risen one for you.
