  • Human | Tribes, Tongues & Nations - What's so Amazing About Race?
    2023/05/19

What do we mean when we use the word 'race'? How can the church encourage unity and welcome for all? What was going on with the Tower of Babel?

In this episode, we explore the amazing theology of race and ethnicity and discuss how the Bible speaks to our understanding of a global church made in God's image. No matter what our culture and ethnicity, Jesus affirms the uniqueness of our race, language and who we are.

We're joined by Rev Dr Israel Olofinjana (Director of the One People Commission of the Evangelical Alliance), Efrem Buckle (Deputy CEO and Director of Training and Mentoring at London City Mission, and Ruth Naomi Floyd (Jazz vocalist and composer) all of whom will be at Keswick Convention 2023 in the summer.

    2023/04/21

Work hard or play hard? We all at times wrestle with the purpose of our time, work, relationships and life. As Christians, we know that the Bible should answer these questions for us, but this isn't always easy to apply to our own lives.

In this episode, we delve into this big topic on the theme of Human, exploring what God tells us about our purpose as we are made in his image, and as we live out our faith in every aspect of our life.

We speak with Sam Allberry (pastor, apologist, author), John Wyatt (Professor of Ethics and Perinatology at University College London and University College London), and Andy Robinson (Training Director for South Central Gospel Partnership) ahead of Keswick Convention 2023.

  • Human | Self-esteem and self-worth: Why bearing God's image is good news for us
    2023/04/07

Am I good enough as I am? What does it mean to be made in God’s image? What even is to be human? How do we live out our Christian faith in an age of flattery, self-actualisation and narcissism?

In this episode, we are exploring how we think of ourselves and others in a culture of self-esteem and identity and how we approach this within our churches. We also pick up the conversation on trans-humanism with John Wyatt again.

Join Matthew Mason (Pastors' Academy, Crosslands Cultivate), Professor John Wyatt (Professor of Ethics and Perinatology at University College London and University College London), Ros Clarke (Priscilla Programme, Church Society), and Ben Cooper (Cornhill Training Course) as we interview Keswick Convention speakers, exploring the human obsession with building self-esteem and how the Bible speaks into this culture.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 1.28 billion people are on Instagram and by the end of 2023, the global fashion market is estimated to be worth $1.7 trillion. In this episode, we're joined by Sam Allberry (Week 1 bible reader) Ros Clarke (Week 3 seminar leader), Nathan Weston (Week 3 evening speaker), and Professor John Wyatt (Week 2 seminar leader). Listen in as they tackle this trending question… Am I beautiful?
